"It's probably the last time I'm going to wear that uniform," Gonzalez said after the Falcons' 28-24 loss. "I didn't want to take it off, to tell you the truth. All good things come to an end, and like I said all season long, this is probably my last one. What an unbelievable ride."
Any chance he returns for one final season?

He definitely left the door open. As a Falcons fan, and a football fan in general, I really hope he comes back for one more.
Either way, please Falcons, draft Lutzenkirchen this year.
Huddles are for rookies.
they are gonna draft Eifert from ND
IMO Atlanta will be in the playoffs again next year, would love to see him go after that Super Bowl ring one last time.
He's a big part of what makes that offense tick and he was playing as well as I've ever seen him in his career. People will say the Falcons are doomed to just choke it away again, but there's as good a chance as any to do it next year. Sure would be easier for Atlanta if they had Tony.
My keeper fantasy league would really appreciate it if he didn't retire.
While I wouldn't mind that at all, isn't he projected to go 1st or 2nd round? I'd rather pick up Lutz in the 3rd or 4th.
Don't get me wrong, I think Eifert is awesome, but I think Lutz is a steal in the 3rd.
Could just be me looking through orange and blue glasses though.

well said sir. I think he does not come back but I'm praying he does.
does not mean shit but last thing I saw was ATL getting Eifert.
Like I said, I wouldn't have a problem with that whatsoever.
The Packers pick ahead of the Falcons and they also need a TE, what with Jermichael Finley leaving.
The Bears also pick pick before Atlanta, and lots of mock drafts have them taking Eifert.
What does that even mean?
There are several teams drafting ahead of the Falcons that need a TE.

Chances of getting to the playoffs in 2013:
- Without him 65%
- With him 85%
My brain says he makes the road 20% easier to travel. If he leaves I think getting a "talented" (doesn't have to be all world) replacement & working on that pass rush is top priority.

I think he meant the last mock draft he saw had Eifert to ATL.
I'd say without him, at worst, it's 75%. Atlanta needs to shore up a lot of defensive issues, but that offense will still be potent even without Tony. I'd say with Tony, it's 95%-99% they make the playoffs again.
And as much as I know they'd want to make sure to get someone good to replace the GOAT at that position, ATL really needs to use some draft picks on the other side of the ball. They couldn't stop the run at all and they got gashed by opposing TEs in both playoff games. I say pick up a guy like Lutz later in the draft; use those early picks to strengthen the D.
I think he comes back for one more year. An to be honest with the talent he has around him on the offensive side of the ball why shouldnt he.
Funny actually. My first thought was 75% without him and 95% with him, but I shot low at the last second. Smh @ myself.
he'll be back

Hoping you're right.
too close to winning the superbowl to stop now
I think that's what many are thinking. His best shot is here, now, with this team and this talent. Would have a John Elway feel to it in a way.
Plus, is almost a disgrace for him to go out without ever winning a ring.
