Lolz at calling me fat, fat boy..... Im Brad Pitt sexy with a side of beef sticks that rival a 5 star donut shop
South Carolina starting in 2009.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Why the hell does he only list FSU from 92-00 when the 14 year run in the top 5 started in 87?
Easily top 5 dynasty run of all time. 2 titles, 1st wire to wire #1 team, played for 5 titles, and was just a 2 missed kicks and a missed 2 point conversion against Miami (in his #2 greatest dynasty) from playing for 3 more titles.
USC's run in 00's with 1 title that was stripped and half the longevity of FSU in top 5 finishes above FSU? CHILD PLEASE!
Dynasties with only white dudes allowed to play and hundreds of scholarships available? No thanks!
It's Nebraska in the 90's, Miami in the 80's/ early 90's, FSU 87-00, and Alabama under Saban. Those are the top 4.
Nebraska fans have really shown their homerism/ignorance in his thread. Was 95 Nebraska the most dominant team of all time compared to the rest of the nation that year? Probably( they definitely have a good argument for it). With that said, football has evolved greatly in the last 20 years and if there were a time machine that could take back these Alabama teams and play the Nebraska teams of the 90s Nebraska would get run off the field. The size, strength, and speed of athletes today dwarfs those of 20 years ago.
With that said I still have nebraskas run ahead of our current one, but I hope we can clearly surpass them in the next year or two. We will see.

50 something game home winning streak, and 2 Heisman trophies as well, really 3 but we all know what happened to Warrick's for sure Heisman in 99'
Lol, another 'Braska fan who lives off the success of the 95 team. I don't think these runs are even comparable. Nebraska had 1 legit title in that run (95). The rest were very questionable and you didnt even have to play the team you split the title with. Its laughable to compare the 2.
Haha, not a chance. Saban, with a month to prepare, is damn near unbeatable. He would surely be unbeatable against that busted ass option. Why do you think no one runs the busted ass option anymore?
Agreed. The Ok and Neb runs should be behind Bama's current run and FSU IMO.
*cough* Utah *cough*
i said ADD you mouthbreather
sure oklahoma was the most dominant, then nebraska...they both are relative to the times though...neither would do nearly as well in todays game
nebraskas 275 pound white lineman would get skull sexed by our lines the last few years and frazier probably wouldnt even finish the game
The 1995 offensive line is the best offensive line in college football history and it isn't even close. ZERO sacks were given up by those guys. You are free to think whatever you want even if it is wrong.
"The size, strength, and *speed* of athletes today *dwarfs* those of 20 years ago."
Speed of skill positions unchanged. The strength and size of OT's has increased but strength and size of DTs has not increased as much as you think. Give any team from the 90's the same nutrition, strength training and deer antler advancements we have today and then make your argument. Or send Bama back to the 90's minus all the physiology tech... You'd have six starters who would morph into immobile fat slobs.
Put the Baltimore Ravens into a time machine, straight up, and the early 90's Cowboys or 49ers would pound that ass.
You would have an argument if Saban wasn't defeated in 4 NC games, with all but one being a blowout (and LSU was still in total control of that game). So, one less to an upstart Utah team in a game in which Alabama had nothing to gain and everything to lose doesn't outweigh the performances in title games.
Awwww, bless your lil heart! You've been told since birth that Neb was just the best at everything, haven't you? Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is a big world outside of Neb. And in that world, Neb 95 isn't even close to having "the best line ever".
Its easy to not give up sacks when you run the busted ass option. Even tackling your QB behind the line when you are running the option doesn't constitute a sack. Its just a TFL because it wasn't a "pass play".
Bless your Bammer heart. One day you'll learn what indoor plumbing is like. Our OL would dominate your front and we would have laughed walking back to the huddle
It is one of the best I've seen up there with Miami in 01, USC in 05, and Bama last year. I'll always have a soft spot for Nebraska because of the way they completely destroyed Florida in the NC game. And because FSU always managed to beat Nebraska in the big games.
The 95 OL was so good....that I can't remember anyone that was on it. The option is and was weak sauce. It is only useful in today's game when you play an oddball like GT and you don't have much time to prepare for it. There is a reason everyone moved away from the option.
Your 95 OL never even had to pass block, so Im not quite sure where the "best ever" tag is coming from.
