Dan Marino. His running game sucked and the defense was worse and he SHATTERED records. I get in this debate a lot and people talk about rings and that's unfair.
Here's my backfield of people with no superbowl trophy.
Dan Marino Earl Campbell and Barry Sanders.
Yeah, have fun.
btw, the game has changed SO much since those guys played. Marino would throw for 6,000 yards now (defenseless receiver, helmet to helmet, pass interference is equivalent to roasting marshmallows with the girl scouts, sneezing on tom brady, peyton, brees draws an 85 yard penalty minimum, etc etc etc...
Guys like Jerry Rice would have 2,000 yards receiving on a consistent basis.
Rules change for one reason and one reason only....money. And as a society, we're caught up in scoring, so the NFL implements the new flag football rules.... Smh.
Peyton Manning is the greatest QB to ever play the game.

Randall Cunningham. If he had a good supporting group at Philly sh!t would have gone down.
How you don't have Marino in your top 5 when he is the best ever is insane.
Joe Montana on being called a system QB..."Yeah..well...I have four system rings." Such a bad ass.

He's not the best ever. Brady might go down as the best ever. I judge Qbs a little differently. Main factor with me is pressure factor.
I wouldnt take any qb thats ever played over Brady. But Joe has won more so he gets the nod now. But Brady is 2 D stops away from having 5 rings.
Marino is the best QB ever if you talking about pure passers. He was never on a great team so he never won a ring, but if he played today his numbers would be off the charts.
So do you base it on stats or rings
still wouldnt take him over brady.. got to win at least 1..
Its a team sports, rings shouldn't matter. Especially in football when you only play on one side of the ball.
Neither, imo. Especially not rings, considering it takes a TEAM effort to win the SB. If you say Marino isn't a top QB in history just because he has no rings, you're insane.
P. Manning doesn't have the stats or the rings like say Tom Brady does, but just watching Manning orchestrate the offense, how good he is at audibling to find the weakness in his opponents defense, how accurate he is, all those things.. There is no QB i'd rather have than Manning.

1) Peyton Manning
2) Tom Brady
3) Dan Marino
4) Joe Montana
5) Cam Newton

If Peyton and Brady switched, Peyton would have more rings IMO.
Yep, I agree.
Would be hard to beat the best run franchise of the decade(pats) coached by the best coach of the decade (belichek) with the best qb of the decade (Peyton)
Who is better than cam? I can't think of anybody who deserves a spot above him.
How do you figure?
Name one wr Brady had in his three SB victories?
