It's open season for guys like T I G E R.
impressed if true
You will always be head tard
all hail the king of the tards.
Does this make me Tard Jesus?
I said head tard not divine tard
Probably this... "Hey OJ, if you're worried that we aren't having many guys drafted this year, don't. We have about 5-7 draft-eligible players and only 2 of them will be drafted."
Hell of a length.
Are you saying we shouldn't?
it should be, "Hey OJ, i'd go to bama because we struggle at developing talent."
Can you give me an example of this? What talented players did we not "develop"?
AU uses 4 year scholarships --- Bama says we don't "develop"
That's laughable. Development is the most overrated idiom out there. It's all about recruiting. When you get major talent in the program, it goes to the NFL 99% of the time. When you grab 2 and 3*'s, you're not "developing"
Exactly. I mean, congrats, Dre K will be a 1st round draft pick. Uh, no shit. He was a 5* and the #1 overall DB in his class of 2009. He intercepted 3 passes for his career. Sounds like he's getting drafted on measureables and HC's reputation IN SPITE of actual player development and performance.
de jesus was king of the jews.
Well aside from ya'lls 2010 season, ya'lls record and on the field performance under chizik proves itself
what are you talking about? you said when you grab 2 and 3's you're not developing? that makes no sense...2 and 3's in most cases means they aren't as talented as 5's so therefore you coach them up and help them develop physically and mentally to better prepare them for on the field and off the field performance..just because a guy is a 5 star out of high school doesnt mean the coaches just say "hey he is a 5 star so we have no need to coach him up anymore".
Under Chizik Auburn's defenses have been horrible, even the championship year..they have been poor tacklers and have had no discipline and IMO that is poor development consider Chizik is supposed to be a great defensive mind. Ya'll have had good recruting classes too so obvioulsy the talent is there
Under Chizik's masterful tutelage, Cam was developed into the #1 overall draft pick.
Does saban have a #1 overall pick?
Dre played 3 solid years for us and improved alot from year to year..just because he didn't have 6 picks a year does not mean he wasnt developed..dre was a solid tackler and very disciplined
oh and loi on him being drafted on strictly measurables and HC's reputation
Well here's a divine tard.
Interceptions don't tell the full story on a DB. Everyone knows this. He alot of people threw away from him so of course he wont have alot of picks. I hate on Dre more than anyone but he's a first rounder no doubt.
Cam was good before he got to auburn and Chizik was not the quarterback coach and i'm sure was not the play caller
and to answer your question....no
Dre is a POS but he's an animal on the field.
Chizik developed Cam into a #1 pick. How is that even debatable?
he may have had a small part in doing so because he gave him a schollie and spot on the team
How many schools offered Cam a schollie?
AU had faith in his abilities, when few to no schools really did. They took his raw talent and formed him into the NFL offensive rookie MVP that he is. That's quite a feather in anyone's cap, not to mention a national championship in year two.
Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn, VT, Ole Miss, MSU, Kansas State, Arizona, UNC...
I could have "coached" Cam into a #1 pick.
It's a thread from tiger, it started out horrible.
But, barners gonna barn.
