Apparently he wants to go be their next WR's coach. Personally I think it would be a great way for UM to spit in the face of the NCAA. Canesport has him as a serious replacement.
Two negatives make a positive?
Troop would kill it in South Florida. Good move for Miami IYAM
He is such a risky hire. I would love his recruiting. But if he got caught violating rules with us, the NCAA would blow us off the map.
"There's going to be a lot of people who didn't stand with us who are going to be remembered for not standing with us." - Al Golden
Perfect fit imo
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
I ask for proof all the time and all anybody can come up with is he wears his hat backwards and waves a towel. GMAFB
Troop would lock S. Florida up , and if AU had a QB I think you would have seen a good job coaching up receivers. He worked wonders with D Adams, T-Zach and E. Blake.
I don't get it ... you have Trooper Taylor, who has been known to cut corners recruiting wise and could have Auburn in trouble again and you have Miami who could be getting nailed by the NCAA soon. I don't see it as a smart move by Miami hiring him. Heck, I don't see it as a smart move anyone who doesn't want to get caught hiring him.
Boats & Hoes for EVERYONE.
Lol how in the world could this guy recruit when a team is on probation. My god he would be the death of UM
Take the Garner hire made last night. The bama prop machine has already come out with some garbage supposedly said by a disgruntled former coach who was fired and blamed some things on Garner 15 years ago. Garner hasn't even warranted a sniff from the NCAA in all his years, but you can guarantee he will be made to look dirty.
Troop might have made some poor decisions in Tenn, but he has never nor will he ever get AU in trouble. A few secondary violations because he is going to test the limits of recruiting by-laws is all you are ever going to see from him.
Cult "all in"
besides recruiting which I get is his business....is he actually a good coach?
Not Al Golden guy so it won't happen.
He does seem a pretty annoying but I would be all aboard if he is found to be clean of any wrong doing
I've heard how he handed out fifty bucks at a time to guys at Tennessee like a pez dispenser. He is shady as hell at Auburn. Him at Miami would not be tenable.

he did a great job at signing high profile / high risk kids at aU. the problem he had was getting them enrolled &/or keeping them out of jail beyond their first year on campus.
Chizik & the wonder twins had an outstanding 65/35 recruit retention rate during their tenure.
