+1...Totally agree man.
ECU grad, tOSU fan for life. Father since 1/12/13.
His recruitment and development of the native Floridian recruits was impressive at Florida.
yeah, you're right. Harvin just commuted from FLA to Virginia to play his High school ball because he loved the coach there.
can't be under the most pressure when you're at a low-end BCS program hoping for 6-6 and a crappy bowl game.
I was talking about his team in general, not just Harvin.
I would have to agree with you there...
The depth isn't great at DE yet, but its a hell of alot better than its been in a while. The entire front seven finally has some good depth and really good starters. Lack of depth killed us late in games last year (had lead on UGA and USCe in 4th), especially with an offense that led the nation in 3 and outs and fewest plays run from scrimmage. Finishing in the top 10 in total defense with 8 new starters, one senior, no depth, a first year staff and scheme, and a bad offense, was a miracle. Tells me those guys are pretty damn good and should get better with a year of starting experience and for most, a second year starting in the SEC.
I don't think DFjr will play much until later in the year if he's ready. Depending on freshmen DL's in the SEC to be anything more than good backups is silly, even with five stars like Bullard and Fowler..
McCray will start at the Buck spot and Mike Taylor/Ball/Morrison will slide to SAM, with Bostic and Jelani returning. Powell missed two games last year where McCray stepped into his role. Both times McCray was alot better than Powell. McCray is better than Powell at this point in their careers, especially at the Buck position, although it leaves a void at SAM when he moves down to Buck. Mike Taylor is a MLB by trade. Morrison looked amazing in the spring game, but he's only 220 pounds and he's a true freshmen. Hes going to be our next great LB, but not this year. Neiron Ball is a wildcard. Insane talent, earned a good bit of PT at the end of his freshmen year, then missed all of last year and all of this spring. Not sure he'll be ready.
I think the QB for Okie State has alot of pressure on him.. A true freshmen replacing Weeden, coming off his teams best season in school history.. Wow.. Not to mention OSU has been a plug and play system, but its gonna be tough for a true fresh, no matter how talented he is.
The two freshmen RB's at UGA have big shoes to fill. It was tough for Crowell and he was maybe the most talented RB prospect to come out since Trent Richardson. In the SEC, depending on a true freshmen to carry the load is tough. Don't think Ken Malcome is all that talented. I wouldn't be surprised to see Samuel moved back to RB again.
not sure about pressure but i think duke johnson has a big freshmen yr
Florida doesnt win its national title with out Percy Harvin. He was their gamebreaker. Played Rb and Wr, and he was just someone that kept defensive cord up all night.
girls the girls they love me.
They had multiple players that could do what he did... The used Bjames as the new Percy when he was hurt...
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
Come on FSU track, you were ACC brothers. but come on are you really saying James had the same value to the Gators than Harvin? thats like saying Randy Moss has the same value as Reed the wr he played with the Vikins.
Yeah, they probably do.
You won't even sniff 6 wins this year.
come on slim
william and mary 1
wake forest 4
boston college 5
nc state or unc 6
Who says you beat any of those teams outside of William and Mary? Maryland got either blown out or lost by 2 scores to all of those teams last year.
And Demps and Rainey were Freshman on that 2008 Title team.. SPEED everywhere
Your a Gators fans. Do you honestly think Gators win a national title without Percy Harvin?
I hate hate the gators with a passion... wish they would lose every game they ever played but I can't deny that team was just stacked... Don't think james had the same value as Percy at all I'm just saying when Percy got hurt and they were using Bjames as the new ATH type player running the ball and catching and doing what Percy usually did for their offense they were still good... and honestly they had a few other players that could have done that...
how am I wrong? u obviously didn't watch the sec champ game in 08 when Harvin was hurt and BJames played as the new PHarvin?
Ok fair enough. i dont live in florida, and i didnt follow the gators that closely. So am sure you had a closer view of their team. I stand corrected.
Yea... Im not sure people realize how stacked that team was
Ok fair enough. but when i watch youtube highlights of the 2006, or 2007 year with Harvin seems like he was a big part of the team. #2 on offense behind Tebow . But i will take your word for it.
I like this guy.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
