You could say they were #1 and #2 on that offense.. But then we still had WRs Louis Murphy(Raiders), Riley Cooper(Eagles) and David Nelson(Bills).. Not to mention Aaron Hernandez(Patriots) starting at TE.. Then you throw in the speedsters Brandon James, Chris Rainey(Steelers) and Jeff Demps.. And our REAL startiing TE that yr C Ingram tore his ACL before the yr even started, and his potential was through the roof.. And Cam Newton would have been on that Championship team if we didnt kick him outta school before that season started..

Yeah he probably was #2 but like I said Bjames could fill his role when he was hurt... Then they had #2 Jeffery Demps#3 Chris Rainey#6 Deonte Thompson#7Cornellius Ingram#9 Louis Murphy#25 Brandon James#81Aaron Hernandez...They had the fastest team in the country at the time it wasn't even close... and even without Tebow they had Cam Newton as his backup... team was just a cheat code for speed..
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
Don't get me wrong I don't want to sound like a jock rider cause hate the fried gator tails with a passion but like I said they put a cheat code in and got that team...
I'd rank Maryland about 5th on that list. NCSt and UNC will shrug you off this year.
It wasnt a list, its how Maryland is going to get to 6 wins.
girls the girls they love me.
I hope yall get there bro... UNC is better than they play NCState is too.. If CJ Brown steps up and Diggs can make some big plays for yall you will have a good team to build on eventually..
Yeah. and hopefuly one day Maryland can be as deep as FSU, Man you guys are loaded. Goldman is on your 3rd team. wow .
Naw, no way Goldman is 3rd team. If he works his ass off AND is legit.
Mary can beat Maryland without William's help.
Maryland will be favored in one game this year and heavy dogs in 8-9 games.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
Jordan Jenkins for UGA. They moved Washington and Drew to DE to improve the pass rush off the end and now Vasser is listed as the starting OLB across from Jarvis Jones. I expect Jenkins to be the starter.
UNC will throttle Maryland. UNC still has a well built, good team and although they have a new HC he is very good and they retained a number of coaches.
Not defending the "Harvin turned around Florida" stance because that's absurd. That being said, none of the James/Rainey/Demps could hold Percy's jock. They had tons of talent on that team and could overcome Percy's absence if he was out of the lineup. That being said, he was easily the 2nd best college player on that team behind Tebow. Percy Harvin's versatility and gamebreaking ability took that offense to a whole other level. He was ranked as the #1 player in the nation in 2006 by TOS for a reason.
In 2006, he averaged 11.4 yards per play from scrimmage (rushing and receiving) and over 850 yards as a true freshman.
In 2007, again he averaged 11.4 yards per touch from scrimmage with over 1600 total yards and 10 td's.
In 2008, he averaged 11.9 yards per touch with over 1300 yards and 17 td's.
Hernandez was a matchup nightmare in college. Louis Murphy made some huge plays as well but Percy was what made that offense go. Every season since, Urban has recruited players at the "next Percy Harvin". I don't recall players being recruited to be the next Brandon James or the next Chris Rainey. They were really good players but not on the elite level of Harvin.
Good call on Diggs, any time you are rated as highly as him and end up on a team that hasn't done too well in recent history, expectations are that he will walk on water. Didn't you guys get that RB too, Brown? He probably will have a whole heap of expectations thrown on him too.
