who has a very good team. This kid has almost 650 yards rushing in 2 games. Total beast.
47 carries? He seems pretty durable.
Sounds like it, the o-line seems beastly as well.
Without self-knowledge there is no individuality
o-line is sick. He is a monster. Hope we can get him and his parents on campus for a visit.
Just home from the game....absolute best high school football I've EVER attended. Jones has Kublanow on the OLine but otherwise he is a 1man show as nobody else beside Kublanow does anything and Walton's defense isn't very good.
Taj Griffin, 2015 RB from McEachern....4.39 in the 40 and a Monster game tonite.

You get out of it what you put into it!
i agree, Kublanow is a solid 3* guy & by far the best of the o-linemen but as a unit they get the job done & as a unit have made supposed 5* defenders invisible/ harmless.
having Jones at RB makes the job easier.
If he keeps carrying the ball 47 times, he will be worn down by the time he ever gets to Alabama. I seriously would not want a high school recruit for my school carrying the ball 47 times
Not much we can do about it but hope his coach will pull him when he can.
All I know is that Jones is beast. Would be surprised if he didn't get an invite to one of the AA games soon.
I'm a big fan of Jones and give him all the credit in the world for taking the ball 47 times but he and his family have to think about his future. Not getting any paychecks for hs football. RBs these days have a very short shelf life and it would suck to see his used up before he fully blossoms.
All high school RBs are abused by their coaches...
this......the good ones atleast
I guess Shane thinks Yeldon will flip to Bama after he enrolls at Auburn. Brilliant. Sell those subscriptions, BOL.” - TIGER
Perhaps, but 47 carries in a game (80 carries in two weeks) is taking it to a whole new level.
Assuming Walton plays a 15-game season, Jones is on pace for a 600-carry season.
Even if Walton only plays an 11-game season, he's still on pace for a 440-carry season.
It's time for an "intervention" with the Walton coaching staff, imo. If I were Tyren's dad I would be the one conducting the intervention.
Below are the "career highs" for carries in a 16-game season by various NFL beast-mode backs:
1. Maurice Jones-Drew: 343 carries
2. Chris Johnson "CJ2K": 358 carries
3. Ray Rice: 307 carries
4. Eddie George: 403 carries
5. Emmitt Smith: 377 caries
6. Eric Dickerson: 404 carries
7. Barry Sanders: 343 carries

Schedule softens quite a bit...he will be lucky to get 20 carries per game next few weeks before they take him out the game. Tyren know this is a lot of carries but loving it because last year even with his gaudy stats he was forced to sit for many 2nd halfs of games due to score. But again, he will be lucky to get 20 per over rest of season. Two games Lassiter and Milton where he may get 25+.
