I'm moving to my new apartment and I'm trying to decide which Internet/TV service to get. I had U-Verse in Tuscaloosa and loved it but the fastest speed I can get at my new place is the 18 Mbps, while Charter is (supposedly) up there around 30 Mbps. I realize both are fast, but bear with me. Internet is the main thing I need (I work from home and we do a lot of large-file transfers over the course of the day, so speed is key; I also play my fair share of online games). As far as TV goes, I don't really need the "kitchen sink" package, but I like having a fair number of the extra channels, especially when it comes to sports, and all the HD I can get.
I know plenty of tBBers use (or have used) at least one of these services, so I pose the question to y'all.
I had u-verse at my last place. I loved it.
Don't get fooled by that 30 mbps BS. Most computers can't handle that type of speed.
