I dont order his fights because i think its stupid to watch someone that has a 9 inch reach advantage. Just my opinion.
, have you ever fought or wrestled before? I'm gonna say you haven't. You dislike him because he won't move up a weight. Guy is at his comfortable fighting weight and is head and shoulders above everyone. A guy with his talent shouldn't move to HW, if anything cut further down and fight more skilled guys.
Nah, maybe i am just old school, but I would rather fight people who are actually my size, but hey. If you and apparently Jones have the mindset that it is cool to beat up on people smaller than you, then that is your problem.
I mean, where I come from, that is almost being scared. to beat up on the little guys? Because they are more "Skilled" LOL. come on dude.
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
Just so y'all know where i stand. If I were a UFC fighter, then I would rather lose fighting people with a similar size than me, than win fighting people who are absolutely not in the same size range.
last time I checked he is fighting guys at the same weight, so he is fighting guys his size. how is that unfair, lol! so by fight bigger guys at HW than that would be unfair to him, solid logic though LOL
So since he is 6'4" and weighs right at 230, he couldnt gain 10 pounds and be the same weight as the HW champ? That would probably benwfit him by giving him more strength
Either way, it doesn't matter. I can wish all i want but until he moves it doesn't matter, unfortunately.
Glad Torres lost, he's a douche

Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Damn the John "Bones" Jones hate is strong.I didn't know that fighting guys the same weight as you is unfair LOL.
I only dislike it when you have the frame to add it, along with the reach and skill, yet one still chooses to cut down and have all fights.look like a sparring match. Absolute top quality competitiveness right there.
You'd have a solid argument if he was like the only one doing this but he's not.
I think others shoukd move up as well. I just want to see the most level playing field as possible
their ate alot of good fighters at lhw, jones is just that much better. don't hate, just enjoy it, guys like him don't come around very often
He is the absolute best at that division, possibly the the most skilled in the UFC. I do not deny that, but I have had enough of people running rough shod through their division with pretty much no competition(Silva and to an extent St. Pierre) when they could go up 1 division and still be very competitive.
Jones cuts less than pretty much everybody in his division. Every single UFC thread ends up like this; it is a retarded argument.
Exactly. If you don't like it, do what I do. Don't buy his cards.
Not without gaining serious weight. Because of Evans' shorter levers, he can be much stronger and stay in the same weight class. His shorter levers also give him an inherent proprioception and leverage advantage. Every single body type has some sort of advantage. Jones just happens to be very good at utilizing his.
With the weight, you are talking about something that EVERY SINGLE FIGHTER ON THE PLANET DOES(and a lot of them far more than Jones), but for some reason it is only unfair when Jones does it.
I understand that, i really do. BUT, you can workout and at least increase your strength to help minimalize theirs a little. Maybe not much if they are really short and stocky, or like you said short levers. If Jones is so great, and has the ability to move up, and the skill. Why doesn't he? That is my question, and i have the same question for Silva and St. Pierre.
And Money Mayweather should move up, David Taylor at Penn State should have to move up, Pocket Hercules should have been forced to move up a class in olympic weightlifting because he was too dominant...are you suggesting that every dominant athlete in a weight-dependent sport should have to move up? Someone will come along to challenge Jones, there always is. Especially in a sport like MMA where all it takes is 1 mistake.
Thats what they said about silva, how many years ago was that?
Silva got his a$$ beat by Sonnen and was the recipient of that 1 mistake.
True, and i hope it happens again. I still think he should.move up. Wasnt sonnen on steroids though?
I thought this was a pretty good article on Jones http://msn.foxsports.com/ufc/story/jon-bones-jones-succeeds-in-ufc-as-the-strong-silent-type-042312
Anybody who has met him or been around a lot of fighters will tell you he is one of the least cocky guys in the game. I just don't understand where people say they don't like him because he's arrogant.
