It was actually Mark Mangino looking for a midnight snack.
Now that is a distinct possibility. & very rational explanation.

That's nothing short of incredible. I'm definitely glad you shared.
Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams,
telling myself it's not as hard as it seems - Led Zeppelin
Sad that this got swept under the rug and the us gov told us it was nothing. It's just the Mexicans going crazy. Yea ok...... Whattever
A lot of astronauts believe and have had encounters such as Buzz Aldrin Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper. Countries in Europe have decided to disclose their information. It's unbelievable how much some people know and don't share. I think sometime within in 20 years it will just be public knowledge.

Saw a fireball in the sky and reported it to the American Meteorological Society. A few other people spotted it in the area and confirmed my sighting.
Pretty awesome event to witness.

Pretty cool story. I'm like you. I spent the better part of my life not believing in ghosts. I completely dismissed the idea.
Then I had a few experiences that have changed my views. I still don't exactly know what to believe, but I'm very open to the possibility. My experiences happened over the course of a few years, all at the same hotel I sometimes travel to for business. In St. Petersburg, FL there is a hotel called the Vinoy. It's an older hotel that is said to be haunted. Visiting baseball teams stay there a lot and I've read numerous articles from players recounting their experiences.
As for me, I knew nothing of the hotels history nor the claims of it being haunted when I first started staying there.
But I had several things happen that are odd. Namely, lamps/lights turning on out of the blue. I've had that happen both while I was asleep as well as wide awake watching TV. The lamp next to the bed turns on and I mean you get that audible "click" from the switch turning.
Once, I'm sitting in the bed watching the Red Sox/Rockies in the World Series and I hear noises in the bathroom, like somebody is moving around in there bumping into stuff. I'm thinking maybe the maid keyed into the room to do a turndown service or something so I get up to see what is going on (you can't see the bathroom from the main part of the room). As soon as I get up, I hear the "click" of the bathroom light turning on and I go in there and there is nothing there. Weird, I thought, but didn't give it a second thought.
It was shortly after that when I was talking to some other guys I work with that also stayed there and they mentioned it being haunted and how they've had lamps turning on and off, the same stuff I had happen.
Well, the next time I stayed there was when it got a little weird. I went to bed and I'd always leave the bathroom light on and the door cracked because if you travel for business you know what it's like to wake up in the dark and not remember where you are and then bang into something as you stumble across the room!
Well at some point I hear noises in the bathroom and I wake up. I'm looking over to where the light is coming out of the bathroom (remember, I can't see the actual door from the bed, just the lights and shadows). Well as I'm looking over there, fully awake, I see the light and shadow from the door get bigger because you can tell the door just opened all the way up...and then it closes. I sat there for about 5 minutes but this time I decided to just let it be. Had no interest in checking it out. I eventually went back to sleep. Some time later I woke up again because I felt something bump into the bed. Now maybe I dreamed that part. Could well be but it woke me up and I'm sitting there, looking around the room when I feel, as plain as day, what felt like two fingers brush across my left ankle/leg. It was almost like somebody walked by the bed and just ran their hand along my ankle and leg. Well that got me up fast. I turned on the lights and ripped the covers off looking for a bug or anything that could have done that but didn't find anything. I've stayed there many times since and I haven't had anything else happen but that night was enough to open my mind!
My dad stayed there one time and said he woke up the next morning and went to brush his teeth and found all of the shampoo, conditioner, lotions, etc that the hotel provides all dumped out onto the counter in the bathroom.
So, there's my ghost story contribution.
