Lolz at all of the UN has no real power people.
Being able to get countries to do what they authorize is certainly powerful.
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
"We seek a treaty that contributes to international security by fighting illicit arms trafficking and proliferation, protects the sovereign right of states to conduct legitimate arms trade, and meets the concerns that we have been articulating throughout," the official said.
"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said.
This honestly reminds me of the black Bush sketch on the chappelle show where he says "what's the UN gonna do? Sanction me?" or something along those lines.
Will you be using that emoticon as more and more countries start doing what they say?
GTFO of here with your facts.
The stupid, it hurts.
You realize that the UN is just a venue for countries to work together and is entirely country-driven, right? And that the US, as the largest arms exporter, basically has veto power over the whole treaty? And that the US has never been afraid to say "nope, not interested" in such situations?
Whenever countries do start implementing some of the more questionable policies i will lol at everyone.
And what is.so hard to believe about people in powerful positions betraying their fellow man? I mean its absurd to.think that could happen, wait thats history Lord you people are stupid.
Not so fast, my friend.

23,000 dolphins are killed every year in Japan. For pest control. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KRD8e20fBo
Did you happen to come in contact with a Michigan State fan who goes by "blanch32" by chance? We fear his idiocy and unintelligible typing may have become contagious. Please advise.
If I lose my right to have bear arms, so help me god I'll be pissed.
You may run like Hayes, but you hit like $*!#
Man... for people who carry around deadly weapons, you guys sure act like a bunch of oversensitive wussies.

Why don't you read what you quoted a little more closely.
Nope, but it is undeniable that is evident in history on MANY occasions.
I see what I failed to see there.
Sorry, I assumed with my avatar my sarcasm would be clear.
I'm out of it today. Shouldn't have stayed up late for that second round of fapping.

Does anyone realize that if they attempt to take away our second amendment rights, there will be a Civil War? I don't know about you but I'm guess that's not the best thing for sustainability.
How's that relevant? The Constitution overrules any contrary treaties. Plus, this treaty explicitly reserves the issue of gun ownership to individual states. Plus, this treaty is about preventing illicit arms smuggling to terrorist groups and militias, not about taking away American gun rights.
Welp say good bye to your firearms. I'd find a whole to put them in now.
"If I lose my right to have bear arms, so help me god I'll be pissed."
That comment was meant for people who think like this^.
That's how it's relevant.
Give them an inch and they take a mile. I don't know why the US even has anything to do with the United Nations. We need to worry about our own shit and stay out of other people's shit.
Such isolationist policies are part of the reason why WWII got started.
