Any truth to the rumors having him looking into the supplemental draft?
"People always ask me if I wish I were bigger. I tell them no. I always wanted to be a miniature badass." Dustin Pedroia
Not a UGA guy, but I think he'd wait for his appeal before making that kind of decision.
Agree but is winning an appeal likely?
Damned Little Debbie brownies have likely put UGA's season on death watch.....
2nd test is 30% of games? So he would miss 4 with the suspension. Appeal would go to some type of university judicial committee where they'd likely drop it to 2.
Can't see him leaving.
2nd test is 50% at UGA. 6 games. He will appeal, and honestly his suspension should be reduced, this should really count as his first test.
Either way, doubt he would try to declare, I am not sure he would even qualify for the supplemental since you have to be dismissed or leave the team and leaving over this situation obviously wouldn't help him in the eyes of any NFL team. He would be better off just staying and playing what he can then going next year.
There probably is truth to rumors of him looking into it. Looking into something is very vague though, but if your looking for a degree of what I am guessing he might do I'd guess 60/40 in favor of staying. I don't think his punishment will be reduced however due to the publicity of the incident and the statement that will be made with a reduced penalty. Also, I doubt many will believe/care if the consumption was accidental or not, the rules are worded to include both. So either way while one may seem less bad they are both against the rules and punishable for 30% which is up to 4 games.
1st is 10%
2nd is 30%
3rd is dismissal
