I just want to be clear, that I think the inequality of wages between CEO and upper management and workers is a huge negative to our country. I am just not about setting the battle lines at highly unskilled labor that are jobs that should be done by teenagers so they can afford their own weed and alcohol.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
whatever the hell all of that gobbledygook means
the point still stands, the money has to come from somewhere
now that I think about it, they are making too much money. I went to an Angel game last week at Anaheim stadium and paid $12.75 for a large Pacifico. These assholes should get paid less, and beers should be like $6.
On a side note, Angel stadium is the best place to watch a baseball game. Large selection of beers, microbrews, Guiness, hard alcohol including Grey goose and Patron. Just a bit pricey like all stadiums.
Watching the Angels is probably awful considering how terrible they are.
I'm bigger fan of home dish
lame-assed mission statements and values aren't your thing?
these kids getting hella fucked up with $20 an hour
So true. Especially with our lineup on paper
Pay them $25 an hour and drop healthcare.
Because the current workers are completely and totally replaceable. There is no skill required and minimum amounts of training required.
Honestly, the demographic these guys should be looking for is high school kids. You can get overachieving students with good GPAs from good schools to work for $10/hour with no medical benefits, and after little training they'll do just as good a job as these guys.
So unionized hot dog vendors (let that idea sit for a moment) are going on strike? Weird because I was always taught that dinosaurs were extinct.
Union goons.....time to evolve.
I am sure they work concerts & other event there but yes mainly a baseball season
I would definitely make an example of them even if it meant myself and all my suits serving dogs until we got all the high school help we needed.
If this is the reality of the situation, it's embarrassing. We've set up labor laws to essentially remove any labor pool that isn't unioned in order to increase negotiating leverage for people who should have none.
When hot dog workers can effectively strike, you've seriously screwed something up.
