I don't know
Talent is closer than you think in a lot of areas
Lee is hands down the best player on either team but after that Miami has the edge in many areas in 2013
RB for sure
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
WR - USC
TE - USC
O-line - Miami
D-line - USC
Linebacker - USC
Safety - USC
What do you think?

If Miami can actually stop the run this year, they could make some noise this season. I can't imagine sitting through a season giving up 220 yards a game on the ground.
Kind of ironic that they couldn't stop anyone on the ground, but found a way to beat Georgia Tech.
Their schedule sets up nicely this season for them and if they can sure up both fronts, they really have interesting back to back weekends at FSU and against Va Tech at home that could decide a lot if they could somehow pull off the upset in Doak.
Doubt it happens, but the team has talent.
Looks good actually, IMO.
I would give Miami the definite advantage at QB right now though. Stephen Morris is solid and if Duke Johnson can be a full-time back, they should have a very explosive offense.
Of course, as I mentioned in my last post, they HAVE to stop the run if they want to compete for anything more than they did last season.
I would switch CB and safety, agree on the rest
They won't be able to, DL is still awful and their LB's are young and small
So basically what you are trying to say is Warren Sapp, Rusty Medearis, Vince Wilfork, Ray Lewis, and Jonathan Vilma ain't walking through that door any time soon.
Props to my boy Rusty Medearis. He could have been one of the best D-lineman to come out of there if it wasn't for the injury in that Arizona game. One of my cousins was great friends with him in high school and I still remember hanging out with him when we'd visit them in Missouri.
Whoever the next USC coach is will be signing 30 kids in 2015. Should be a great class.
They made ND's Oline look dominant, tisk tisk.
already giving up on him?

I'd concede the overall talent level going to SCw (at least on defense) but Al Golden is far from meh.. LK lost to GT in a bowl game.. First time they've ever won one under PJ. That was 100% coaching.. (lack of)
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Al Golden - 2006 Temple 1–11 Temple Owls
2007 Temple 4–8 4–4 T–4th (East)
2008 Temple 5–7 4–4 3rd (East)
2009 Temple 9–4 7–1 T–1st (East) loss Eaglebank
2010 Temple 8–4 5–3 3rd (East)
20–12 Miami Hurricanes (Atlantic Coast Conference) (2011–present)
2011 Miami 6–6 3–5 T–4th (Coastal)
2012 Miami 7–5 5–3 T–1st (Coastal)
Miami: 13–11 8-8 ‡ Ineligible for ACC title, bowl game and Coaches' Poll Total: 40–45
Needledick OP still waiting for validation from SC fans
Your point being what? He won more games in a 2 year span at temple than they had the previous decade. He went to as many bowl games than they had in the history of their program... all while under heavy sanctions (not 30 over 3 slap on the wrist type). The cluster he took over at Miami might have been worse than the one at Temple... and yet he still has the program moving forward/favored to win their side of the conference in just the beginning of his 3rd year despite lacking talent, looming sanctions & no real depth..
Point is meh
Pretty impressive, IMO.
Being a USC fan, would you say winning 17 games in 2 years at Temple is at least a tad bit tougher at Temple than at USC?
Hint: Lane has won 17 games the last 2 years.
It's not like Shannon left him with a good situation at Miami either.
Note: I just saw where you said you would take him over Lane.
I'd still say what Golden has done is impressive. I think Miami wins 8 ot 9 this year.
