Halo 4 gets 9.8/10.
Halo 4 isns even better than ever?
Just got home and saw this. I have been saying it could get game of the year. If the other reviews are close to this then it will.

GameInformer gives Halo 4 a 9.25. It is off to a great start.
Halo 4 is a worthy entry in the beloved space epic, and new developer 343 Industries proves its willing to shake things up to keep the franchise fresh.
Game Informer gives it a 9.25
Looks like it is getting really good scores.
Didn't see this when I posted.
And Destructoid gave it a 10. Some very high scores so far.
In somewhat of a down year in gaming this very well could win GOTY.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Yeah it won't be my GOTY. It takes a lot for a shooter to be my GOTY. Borderlands might be close.
Still think Borderlands wins GOTY.
I would have to agree after playing Dishonored and ACIII. Has not been a great year for games. Last year was way better.
You guys get your halloween freebie skins yet?
I'm only about an hour in to ACIII and I'm loving it. Does it start slow from a gameplay standpoint? Yeah. But I'm loving the build-up of Desmond's story and the foundation of the New World story. The narrative is the main reason I'm invested in the AC franchise.
The more I get into AC the better it gets. Until you guys have finished AC I think it is very premature to say it is not a great game.
So far I am very impressed with it actually.
It has been a very good year for games but there has not been a juggernaut game like last year when there was Uncharted 3, Arkham City, and Skyrim.
I'm still playing Skyrim. One of the GOAT if you ask me.
I agree with both things you said. Assassins Creed 3 is starting to get a lot better now the more I play and despite scores is probably my favorite game this year so far. I have also bought more games this year than probably ever but not many game of the year type games. Just looking at the review scores I don't think there will be a game that will beat Halo 4.
In case y'all missed my post in the Halo 4 thread, IGN is live streaming some MP.
Thursday, November 1: Wes release.
Replaying San Andreas, actually. It was like $8 on Steam a week ago.
I still have GTA IV but no I doubt I play it much again. I might play some more RDR though.
I still don't really understand peoples complaints about AC. To much story in this story heavy game. I really don't know what people were expecting but this is exactly the game I was expecting.
Steam will change your life. They have a version built to be used on home theater PCs so you can use it more like a console than a computer (controllers vs. keyboard/mouse). My HTPC is a Mac Mini so I'm still waiting for the Mac beta to be released, but I'm stoked.
I would suggest playing The Lost and the Damned and the Ballad of Gay Tony dlc for the game. Both are really good and are the length of most retail games.
It has gotten better, but it's still nowhere close to great for me. Granted, I've never been a fan of the series, and purchased this game because of the setting and character. I just find the load screens taxing, especially with the all white. There is also way too many cut scenes that do not need to be there. Combats not bad, but the free running can be clunky. I also think it does a poor job teaching you about the intricacies of the game. Most of the stuff I've learned has been through online reading. I do enjoy the naval warfare though.
I have no problem with the gameplay and find it very smooth actually. I know about the intricacies of the game because I have played every entry in the series I suppose.
This game already did far to much hand holding for my taste. Glad they didn't do anymore.
And the load times on this are still not as bad as Skyrim. A game that I know you love.
Steam is great. I love how easy it makes it to add mods to your games as well.
BTW I really want a modern day AC at some point in the future. I have always thought they were heading that way with Desmond but after seeing some of this game I think it could be great.
I can't wait for Watch Dogs.
Side note some rumored specs for the PS4 dev kits are making the rounds. Sounds pretty nice.
A new version of the PlayStation 4 dev kit is reportedly being distributed to developers right now.
