Some of the time periods I've wanted (some of which we've passed over time wise or don't fit the story but I just like the era):
Medieval Europe (not the Crusades, which we already got)
Asia (you pick: Huns, Ming Dynasty, any part of Japanese imperialism)
World War I or II
Modern Era (could be modern cities and nations, the Middle East, who knows)
It's not the load times, but how often they occur. The main reason I'm sour is because the first few hours are just completely underwhelming and boring. If I knew I wouldn't play as Connor until 3-4 hours in, I wouldn't have bought it. By the time I got to Connor, I barely cared anymore. I will continue to play it, and will finish it, but right now I just don't consider this a great game..not even close. Skyrim, Arkham City, UC3, and Borderlands 2 are great games. This is nowhere close IMO.
Once this story is finished they will be free to go back and do other time periods.
I would like to play in London during the same time period as AC III or even a little later. A steampunk AC would be awesome.
1960's/Cold War/Cuban Missile Crisis could also be interesting.
I won't spoil it but something that was just said in AC supports what I was just saying. Very interesting.
Really there are almost limitless options.
I think I'm farther a long than you. Give a hint on which part...
You are might not be. I played a lot last night and this morning.
Doesn't matter because I am watching my brother play. He is Desmond right now and talking to the british guy.
Has he made "the jump" with Desmond yet? Just trying to get a feel with where you guys are. I'm about to turn it on myself. Just ate a frozen Totinos Pizza and I'm ready to go.
Yes and so have I.
I swear you're constantly eating those things.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Every time you are Desmond talk to everyone you can and exlplore the area. They reveal a lot of backstory and hint at the future.
Cool. I did that, then went straight back to the chair to start playing with Conner again. I try to play with Desmond the least amount as possible. I saved when I started with Conner and turned it off for the night. That is where I'm starting in about 2 minutes. I'm all grown up!
Yeah I am a little past that. I turned it off because my brother wanted to play.
Yeah, I'm not sure how the other ones were, and I'll play them eventually. However, this one really gets going after a few hours and you can see the story piecing up together. I'm really enjoying the game so far.

I actually love that you don't start as Connor. Especially after seeing how the story has played out. Very cool twist.
Also I just started sequence 4 so I'm not very far yet.

Agreed, it was somewhat necessary to get a full view of the story as a whole and gives you a better idea of who Connor is. From what I have played he would have been a ridiculously flat character if they didn't give you that bit of back story to play through.
I've got something to say! It's better to burn out than fade away!
They could have summed it up in a 5 minute voice over to start the game. Not worth hours of playing it IMO.
I agree, and that is why I'm fine with it. Slow start, but great story. Now that I'm a ways into it, the game has finally opened up, and is not streamlined toward the story anymore. That is all I wanted. Now I have multiple things I can go do. So many, in fact, that I don't know which one I want to do
Would not have had nearly the impact.
Just sounds like you need to put the game down. You obviously don't enjoy it.
Obviously a noob question here.
After you get to level 1 notoriety, is there something you can do to get back to incognito? Just defended a resident from the guards, and now I'm at level one so they detect me when they see me.
I know. I've never liked the AC series, don't know why I thought I would now. Mainly because of the setting and main character I guess.
Tear down wanted posters, bribe a speaker in the square, or bribe a newspaper.
Just picked up Forza: Horizon. Anybody played it?
