I care less about the always online and more about what they do with kinect. If that make kinect the major focus I might pass on the system all together.
With their entertainment stuff I would like for them to find a way to totally replace cable. Such as live tv options in line with anyone you can get on satellite and cable
While slightly funny, MS isn't going to make friends this way...
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Is that guy associated with MS? If so he is a major idiot. Actually he is a major idiot either way.
Creative Director @ MS.
What a dumbass. PS4 will shit all over the the 720.
I don't care if its always online, I'm always connected anyways but I could see how that would be an issue to some
It is not an issue for me normally.
Where I live we get really bad weather though that can knock out the internet. There are just all sorts of things that cab go wrong with this.
If you ask me, it's more of a matter of principles.
I think eventually the day will come where always-on consoles (and the majority of electronics) are the norm. It's inevitable. But the infrastructure has a long way to go before then.
MS can't be this stupid. If they require a constant connection, it will be the death of Xbox.
This is all about MS being able to control piracy and things of that nature. This has nothing to do with them offering a better product. It all comes back to greed.
Well, I wouldn't call it greed, but they are trying to crack down on piracy.
I wouldn't want that unless some if the companies lift their cap. My dsl is capped at 150 gigs I think..... Constant streaming of anything on hd would eat through that in no time....
There really should not even be a cap.

Yea the caps here were tinkered with but eventually were never put into place. If enough of these devices try to eat up bandwith like crazy the cable companies will definitely install caps and make us pay a lot to use everything we use. That is a concern. The more people that cancel traditional cable for streaming the more these caps and paid tiers for internet will creep up.
They shouldn't but I have one. A ridiculously low one at that. I go way over every single month.
This guy probably got fired over his comments.
"We apologize for the inappropriate comments made by an employee on Twitter yesterday. This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views do not reflect the customer centric approach we take to our products or how we would communicate directly with our loyal consumers. We are very sorry if this offended anyone, however we have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter."
Sounds like it, should have known better than to discuss anything about future property with the way non-disclosures are these days, let alone being a smartass to their consumer base. Even speculative talk about possible features is a no no in most cases.

I've got something to say! It's better to burn out than fade away!
All of their points are like what Michigan State and Auburn use to think they're relevant in College Football right now.
