How old is too old to play video games?
I'll say 12, 15 at the latest.
what's your cutoff for board games?
That's like asking how old is too old to watch movies.
I'm going to buy Diablo III after work today. Over the past couple of years, I have notice a grey hair to two pop up on my head. Don't care.
And why should there be an age limit?
Should there also be an age limit on posting on a message board?
Board games are a timeless tradition. You can play them when you are 10 or 90.
You are never too old for video games imo.
I grew up with video games and still play video games. They're not going away anytime soon. Far better for you than mindlessly sitting in front of a TV.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
Just to clarify...are games on your iPhone considered video games?
I turn 28 in less than a month and I don't plan on slowing down yet......just turned on the ol'Xbox in fact. Suck it Clemson!
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
Playing NCAA Football video games was pretty big part of my college experience. No way you cut the age off before then.
Now I don't have time to play video games. Less desire to as well but if I had more free time, I'd probably be down for a game or two.

No, no it's not.
And for the record, I don't watch much TV.
Maybe not "better" for you, but what's the difference between playing a made up story and watching a made up story?
As long as you are being productive to society, there is no age limit.
Then I will say once you get off your parents insurance, you have to give up video games.
You can start back when you have children of your own. You may only use video games as a means to crush their little spirits...never for bonding.
Agree and disagree. With our current POTUS, you can be on your parents insurance until you are 26.
And I think part of the problem with kids today, is that all they do is play video games. I may buy my kids a Nintendo 64 or Wii but that's about it.
Yes it is. It's been proven to help with dexterity as well as critical thinking.
everything in moderation.
How about social skills?
thats on you as a parent. limit their play, control it. dont put a tv or the system in their room.
Spending hours in a library don't enhance social skills, but it's still considered a positive for a child.
Like the earlier poster mentioned, it's all about moderation. Doing anything in excess will have negative effects.
Nintendo 64?? What's the benefit there boss? Saving you money? haha.. Never too old for gaming but to get kids off the couch on a rainy day- Kinect. Most of the games on there are pretty physically demanding. Play fruit ninja for a few hours and try to lift your arms the next day. Play some beach volleyball or track and field on the sports games and get back to me. Nintendo 64.. lmao.
Hey now, I cherish my N64. Nothing beats Zelda on the 64.
drinking mario party FTW!
I talk to aussie, callen, joester, hoffelcopter, and many others on a nightly basis while playing. They have taught me some interesting curse word combinations so i think it definitely helps my social skills. How does watching a movie help social skills?
Posting on a message board is a much more deviant social behavior, IYAM.
