This tournament has been a complete joke the sloppy play is almost unbearable to watch, the Marquette and Syracuse game set back basketball a hundred years. I find it laughable how these coaches can't figure out how to score on Syracuse's zone defense. It's a freakin 2-3 zone not astrophysics, this is why the NBA is 100xx better.

Finally agree with you.. College BBall is 2nd rate
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
I hope you don't watch the NBA then if you don't like sloppy play.
I agree. Officiating in the college game and rules changes need to take place to catch the college game back up to what basketball is supposed to be.
The lane needs to be widened.
The block/charge semi-circle needs to be expanded as the NBA one is.
Defensive 3 seconds would be a nice addition, IMO as well.
The college game has turned into 2 guys beating people up under the basket the entire game and 3 guys shooting outside shots.
Until they stop letting forwards and centers basically wrestle on the posts all game long this will not change.
Says the _ fan as his school starts its decent back into basketball irrelevance.
I've never heard a good arguement yet for why college bball is better than the NBA..
The only positive for college basketball is that games in November and December are more competitive or seem to matter more as far as deciding who gets in on the bubble.
I like that they've tried to standardize officiating in college more, but they still have a ways to go there.
Once the NBA gets to the last month of the regular season and in the playoffs, the product is light years better.
The Heat and Bulls game last week felt like a game 7 playoff game it was 100x more interesting than any college bball game I've seen all year by a mile..
This. I can watch the playoffs no problem because you can tell everyone is actually trying. Regular season nba games look like middle school basketball every time I watch it. Players are fumbling the ball left and right, fading away instead of squaring up for shots, and just overall lagging around on both sides of the ball and not making fast cuts.
Once the NBA gets around to making it a three year requirement for college instead of 1 year I see college basketball getting better. One and dones favor elite schools and the NBA wants to get college basketball fans to follow the NBA more.
It's effective b/c teams have no clue how to attack a 2-3 zone and the players play scared b/c they can't handle the pressure of the big lights. Look at that kid from Kansas Mclemore completely folded like a deck of cards in the spotlight.

Also I just watched this this morning.
NBA Is Rigged? Fan Shows Some Suspect Proof The NBA Needs Lakers In The Playoffs
People think every sport is rigged it's nothing new..
IF the NBA is rigged why would they have the Spurs win 4 titles and have the Pistons face the Spurs in the NBA finals which was one of the worst watched Finals of all-time?
College basketball is great when there is a meaningful game, that's in the last 3 minutes of the 2nd half, and teams aren't fouling every other play. So, it's great like 0.1% of the time. Sooooo much is wrong with BBall. The entire first half has no bearing on the game at all unless a player gets into foul trouble. I find myself watching less and less bball every year.
You can't win a bball game in the 1st half but you sure as hell can lose one, how is it different than football?
The spurs and pistons were the only two teams of their kind of the 2000s and those type of teams will most likely never been seen again with the way all the super stars are joining each other.
Nah man, I watched a million teams be up a ton and dominate the basketball game in the first half only to have the other come back from a huge deficit like it was nothing and win. In football that only happens like once a year when the other team shoots itself in the foot with turnovers. You will never see Gulf Coast State Tech South A&M make it far in a football tournament. Never going to happen. Basketball is about runs. Who has the last run wins. Meh
This thread is incredibly stupid
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Also the year the Lakers played Orlando in the finals, Stern was praying for a LBJ vs. KOBe finals when the CAVS had the best record in the NBA, no way if it was rigged would he have Orlando beat the CAvs..
Not saying I buy the argument, but the Spurs had a huge international following and the NBA loved having the Hispanic Community's attention with solid teams in Texas. As far as Detroit??? The auto industry was in horrible shape. Just trying to lift spirits, I guess.
This thread has some classic posts in it
I was referring to the NBA not college bball it happens a lot more in college b/c the players are inexperienced and tighten up in big moments..
It was one of the worst rated NBA Finals of all-time..
It makes perfect sense the Pistons and Spurs were where ratings go to die..
You do realize its been proven the NBA has fixed and altered the outcome of games right ?
Nobody said it was every game in NBA history
You are lighting it up though so please continue, meltdowns from idiots are the best
