Got an update here.
"With Washington gridlocked again over whether to raise their taxes, it turns out wealthy families already are paying some of their biggest federal tax bills in decades even as the rest of the population continues to pay at historically low rates."
Bubububub the wealthy aren't paying enough taxes!!1!111 Makes this thread sound so pathetic.
While Washington bickers over whether to raise taxes on the rich, the truth is, taxes on the richest Americans are already at their highest in decades.
"The average family in the bottom 20 percent of households won't pay any federal taxes. Instead, many families in this group will get payments from the federal government by claiming more in credits than they owe in taxes, including payroll taxes. That will give them a negative tax rate."
Dying to hear about how those greedy corporations aren't compensating their workers fairly.
Watch the video in the initial post.
Note how the income disparity has drastically changed in the last 30 years.
Now read this part of your article.....
"The growing disparity in income is a big reason why tax bills for the rich are approaching 30-year highs, Williams said. As the rich get richer, a greater share of their income is taxed at the top rate, he said."
Status You are not too smart, so maybe read that a few times, then write it down a few times, and then you might understand why the "Wealthy Tax bill hits 30 year high!"
Its because the Wealthy have a larger share of the pie than they did 30 years ago. That was the whole point of the OPs video. Your article simply affirms what was stated in the video.
You are terrible at flaming.

So wtf are you complaining about. Disparity grows, taxes grow. Is that not fair to you obamatards?
This post was edited by Status 16 months ago
The problem is the disparity to begin with dude...
That disparity will never disappear. Let's come back to the real world duder.
This is the part where you admit you are just flaming and have no idea wtf you are talking about.
Don't go calling people obamatards because they point out how ignorant you are.
I think it's fairly obvious I just paraphrased part of the article. "As the rich get richer, a greater share of their income is taxed at the top rate, he said."
Of course you have no response. Do you even pay taxes, breh?
Which solves nothing. We can shift the impetus from the public sector to the private sector, something repubs want anyways as long as an 'obamatard' doesn't come up with it. Give incentives to businesses to raise wages so we don't have to do it federally and risk that small inflation of costs. Incentives for promoting from within instead of 'insourcing'. If a company matches contributions to healthcare or 401k's they should be required to match re-education costs for their lower end employees. Huge incentives for American production and/or raised import tariffs, one could go on for days with logical grassroot ideas but I think you get the idea. You see when the federal gov't doesn't have to breastfeed a large portion of it's population because companies are taking care of employees and taking advantage of economically sustainable 'handouts' instead of forcing the hand of unsustainable ones guess what happens...YOUR TAXES GET SLASHED!! Your welcome.
Yes, but it's the only Newtonian reaction to child slave labor.
My god. Just. Watch. The. Video.
They state clearly that the disparity has gone up considerably in the last 30 years.
Even if all that stuff happened tomorrow taxes wouldn't get slashed. Oblama doesn't have it in him.
No one wants it to disappear, we're not advocating for that, people that work hard should be compensated as such. The disparity needs to stop getting worse.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
not necessarily. They have been a bad idea in past economic climates, but in today's modern climate, could be key in returning manufacturing back to the United States. We would have an increase in price in certain goods, but also more better paying jobs to go around.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
This is the only sane, rational thing you've said in this thread so far... but I still have 10+ pages to go.
Good luck with that.
Don't waste your time. This thread is worthless. If you're looking for an educated debate on this there is one here

I'm amazed you can put the terms "educated debate" and "texags.com" in the same post.
