  • name the parameters.

timeframe (any date from-to, in years, i.e. 1942-2003)

vs ranked (game time and/or year end rankings, and also any ranking 1-25, i.e. i can do record vs opp ranked #4, or any ranking or set of rankings (top10, etc.) at time of game or last poll of year) - can also do what a teams record is when they, themselves are ranked/unranked.

vs bowls (can do major/bcs bowls also)

    vs conferences

out of conference only, or in-conference only

vs teams with certain win% (can do greater than any %, less than any %, or exact%)

vs teams with certain amount of wins (i.e. 10 win teams)

can group and count seasons for parameters (i.e. how many times have teams won 10 games in a single season)

can give official results or actual game results (for forfeits and vacations)

can sort all that for teams (all or individual or of certain conference) or conferences as well.

can sort for when a team was in a certain conference, or include the for conf rankings using current alignment, even if they weren't always in that conf.

    and many more things.

    ask away...

  • Who needs google, we got harbinater.

Oklahoma surprises me, didn't realize they'd been that dominant. I would have guessed Neb won more games.

  • actual game results (ignores forfeits and vacations) for same 2 time periods (1950-current and 1930-current)

  • where do you find such knowledge bow

  • they are 1-2 in win totals from since 1950, ou is also #1 from 1930-current (bama 2nd).

  • friend from another board, ftbobs on cfn boards. he did/is doing extensive research and compiled a database and was smart enough to put filters to sort by numerous parameters.

he did a ton of work, and collaborated with several places to get it organized. it's by far the most accurate i've ever found (and i've search long and hard cause i started researching as well until i met him). he even went to contemporary sources (i.e. old newspapers/record books/etc.) when he found discrepencies, and there were many he said, especially way back when. but he went with the best source, or strongest, whatever you want to call it. but he also has records of disputes in records.

can sort by coaches too, btw for whoever asked, but not by if they got probation or not. sorry bout that one, lol.

anyway, link is below if anyone wants to use it. it takes a while to figure it out, but here it is.

  • awesome. thanks alot. I have a feeling im gonna waste alot of time on there.

  • not exactly what you asked for, but records for coaches since 1950, sorted by win%:

(min 50 games, otherwise i'm not sure it would fit, lol):
