Any three from history ....
On Twitter: @Niebuhr247
2. Saban's OC
3. Saban's DC
1. HC- Saban
2. OC- Doug Nussmeier
3. DC- Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp
It would be easy to put a high powered spread OC who scores a lot of points. SOS, CUM, Baylor guy, Chris Peterson, etc...But that type of offense does not fit well with what we like to do. Give me the best run game coordinator who can throw it too and I'd take him. But there are very few OC's out there that are as balanced as ours. Would not change.
Muschamp is a great defensive coach. But dude is a little crazy. Maybe that's good sometimes, but Smart has proven he can get it done on the field and off. There are not many better recruiters in college football than Kirby Smart.
Edit: Just saw you said in all of history. That's a TON of coaches. I don't know, Bear Bryant (Bama) as DC and Bill Walsh (Stanford) as OC then. That's just off the top of my head.

OC - Osborne
DC - Saban
HC - Woody
Smashmouth offense. Physical defense. Team full of tough SOBs.

OC- Ric Flair
DC- Ultimate Warrior
IMO Saban could make excellent coaches and recruiters out of both of them. Heck my Grandmother could be successful under Saban
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Give me Jimmy Johnson as HC and it doesn't matter who the OC and DC are.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
I may go Saban as HC, Spurrier as OC and Jimmy Johnson as DC
HC-Bowden (in his prime)

HC - Al Golden
OC - Howard Schnellenberger
DC - Jimmy Johnson
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
HC - Saban
OC - Bill O'Brien
DC - Greg Schiano
Would club baby seals over and over again.
This but Jimmy Johnson as Head Coach.

I am surprised with the lack of Chip Kelly picks.
With a actual defense that could be a amazing combination IMO.
A hurry up offense does not fit with a shut down defense IMO. It puts the defense on the field for about 1/3 more snaps each game. Not good.
WOW your obession is getting scary
Assuming the defense had depth it wouldn't be that bad.
Completely disagree. There is a huge gap between most teams first and 2nd team players except for maybe one or two positions.
Head Coach -- Jimbo Fisher
OC -- Steve Spur er
DC -- Nick Saban
To win a game?
HC - Joe Paterno
OC - Chip Kelly
DC - Nick Saban
To run a program?
HC - Joe Paterno
OC - Steve Spurrier
DC - Nick Saban
PENN STATE FOREVER
Pedo Bear is not surprised
It's more sexual than anything... That hair
Thats what I know. You know what they say? Once you go Golden, um ah der.... you are never quite the same
Oregon seems to do fine with it... Obviously there is a difference between Oregon's defense and Bama's defense... Obviously if you put Bama's defensive players on Oregon's team they would do better than Oregon's original defense.
i see the point and agree somewhat, but to counter point...
if you had a shut down d, like bama has had recently, it doesn't matter, they won't be on field long anyway.
by the time the starters/main contributors got tired, they'd be up so much it wouldn't matter.
if the d forces quick outs, and the o scores quick, even if they can only go to halftime, the score would be so far out of control it would be time for 2nd string anyway.
