Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
I'm starting to wonder if that's just some of y'all's go to response to everything.
not everything. Just when bitches try and change shit, cause some peoples feelings get hurt.
I don't think anyone in this thread has defended this kid, so...
Soo forcing pledges to buttchug or strapping them to a metal chair you heat to the point it burns them is okay?
First happened at Tennessee as we know, the second got Sig Ep kicked off the Bama campus a few years ago.
Hazing = ghey
Here's a thought. If they're dumb enough to do what they are asked (if it's dangerous, etc) then they deserve what they get. That stuff never would have flied with me. I don't do well with guys trying to act hard to get me to do things when they know full well what would happen if they didn't have their buddies behind them and it was 1-1. For that reason, I chose not to pledge or rush or that stuff. My good friend did. To each their own, but ultimately It falls back on the individual.

Hazing is lame. I cleaned my frat up big time, and am proud that I did. It's a never ending cycle, that if you let it go on long enough somebody will get hurt(at least with the shit they were doing in my frat). Chugging three 40's in 45 minutes isn't a problem for most frat boys, but do it for enough years and eventually somebody who isn't used to partying like that is getting hospitalized or is going to die.
Thanks. I figured there was another side to the story. I graduated in '01, and I remember the CW hating the "machine" even back then. I understand the need for oversight because sometimes it can go to extremes in some houses on some campuses. OTOH, I just can't see suspending all pledgeships. Seems wildly overreactionary.
I was in a non-hazing fraternity and we did just fine without all the extra BS to bring us closer. In fact we were probably one of the strongest fraternities on campus, 100 man chapter, exec board dominated by upperclassmen, involvement in all kinds of campus activities. Sure we liked to drink and party but there was more to it then that. Always felt like alot of the other frats on campus that supported hazing tended to have an exec board full of sophmores and no upperclassmen as they all deactivated as soon as they could go to the bar.
All of you are a bunch of queers. You think you have to go through pain to be in a damn club where all you do is act like a douche and embarrass yourself? Psshh sounds like homoerotic fantasies being played out. 3K a month is plenty.
Anything goes minus gay stuff. If you are asked to do an elephant walk or funnel wine into your ass and don't leave, you are not welcome in my frat. Period
A buddy of mine pledged when he was in college. He said most of the stuff was ghey & homoerotic. He said they wanted pledges to stick frozen sausages up their azz, get tea bagged blind folded & all kind of ghey ish. He said one night a dude from the frat called him at 4 am & when he got there, he told him he had to strip naked in front of him & 3 other dudes & beat off & sing the frats song.
Wow, after being out of college for over two decades fraternities and their members are still g** as hell. . Never changes. Same idiots in them and the band.
Greek life in the South is completely different than Greek life in the North.
Not once, during my pledgeship, was there any homoerotic behavior. That shit doesn't fly down here
