Alright held off long enough...
Wade Bowen and bon jovi. Didn't know it was jovi till he took stage. Open bar top shelf liquor at my friends ranch. About 30 private jets on his airstrip there. Thèrw are others if you ask.
I got free tickets to see three doors down, theory of a deadman, hinder, and black stone cherry. I was told by a couple people that hinder sucked live and they did, black stone cherry was alright, Theory of a deadman killed it and three doors down sucked a big dong. I was very disapointed.
The worst part it my buddy is having:
At his ranch this Sept. If its during the a&m uf game I will bawl.
Seen a lot of folks mention Fuel. Do they put on that good of show? I'll be seeing them in August at a private party. Have probably been to over 200 too and Rob Zombie, Tool, STP, Seether, Hurt, Chevelle, Ramstein, Korn, Incubus in 97 was amazing, POD shocked me.
Fuel was a nice show IMO.. But i was bartending about 10 ft away in an 800 person Nightclub.. I imagine they would be a good show anywhere though. JMO
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
The smaller venues are always the best IMO..
I just feel more involved and entrenched in the music.
Yelawolf/Slaughterhouse at Royal Oak Music Theater.
Eminem came out at the very end and they all did 2.0 Boys. It was nuts.
Been to so many but the ones that stand out the most:
A Tribe Called Quest (93ish) - One of the only great sounding hip hop shows I have seen
The Roots (95ish) - the other only great sounding hip hop
Pink Floyd (95ish) - amazing, amazing
Jawbreaker (94ish) - great energy, small venue classic punk
Sublime (95ish) - wasn't the best show, as Brad was pretty drunk but it was memorable because Brad died shortly after and then their popularity blew up. It was cool being able to see them live before everything went down.
Tool - all their shows were so good
Arcade Fire (2010) - one of the best live acts I have ever seen
LCD Soundsystem (2010) - Farewell tour, I only liked them until I saw them live. Wow, became a bigger fan after that.
MMJ (any) - seen quite a few times but the show they did with Preservation Hall was the best I think.
Wilco - great live show
Roger Waters (The Wall) - I just wish Roger and David would do 1 last tour together)
Bon Iver (2009) - tiny club. You could hear a pin drop.
Some misc punk shows that were great (Bad Religion, Face to Face, Rancid (out come the wolves tour), Pennywise)
Most of the classic rock shows I have seen have been in large arenas and I hate arena shows much rather smaller venues so may of those don't make my favorites even though they were great bands, just hated the atmosphere.
Deserve got nothing to do with it...
I'll be seeing MMJ, Trombone Shorty, and Band of Horses play together at Red Rocks in August. Definitely a show I'm looking forward to.
Band Of Horses is really a good live show as well. Sounds like a good time with some good beard-rock.
I know it's a lil off topic but, here's an oldie but goodie to all you mothers out there!!! I'm a mother meself!!!
i have been to 2 family values tours one had Korn ramstein ice cube and limp bizkit. that show was good. but the family values tours in 2002 was by far the best concert ever. had dead sea static x stp linkin park and staind. linkin park was the best band i ever seen live. they rocked the biloxi coliseum. they did 2 encores that night. stp was good too and staind was pretty good. ramstein was good also with there show but couldn't understand a Damn word they said

I'll be there, can't wait!
My list in no order:
I enjoyed the Fuel show. For that show, Oleander was just great overall and I didnt know much about them at the time aside from few. Solid fan since. Fuel was 'heavier' than I thought they would be overall. 3DoorsDown played a lot of acoustic stuff, and I like the acoustic sound. Overall a good show.
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
You need to go see Roger Waters The Wall....it was EPIC!

"It's what a brother would do for another brother"
Best overall for me was The Pixies. Tight, sharp, stellar, rampant. The concert started and before you knew it they just blasted your cranium with countless badass songs that sounded *perfect*. It was like a musical machinegun.
Close second wouldve been my first concert. Radiohead circa 2001. Encore included The Bends and Talk Show Host. Yes.
1. Page and Plant at the Forum in LA 1994 or 1995.
2. RATM in Austin on some open field in 1997 or 1998.
3. Prodigy at Lollapalooza 97 in Corpus Christi.
Thank you to everyone that shared your great concert experiences with me..
Lots of good reading ITT thanks to you all.
Bon Jovi with Skid Row in '89
Was a great show.
Also loved '93 (AIC, Tool, Rage, Fishbone)
I missed out on 93.. super bummed since AiC is my all time favorite. [sad]
