Lots of good choices already listed.
Some others to consider: (Spoiler alers - though you should already know that if you are reading posts on movie endings)
The Hangover (the original of course) - "We look at these pictures together, okay? One time. And then we delete the evidence."
Pulp Fiction - Not only does Travolta who died earlier in the movie still get to ride off into the suneset with Samuel Jackson, but your first realization that they are in the same Diner where the movie began with a hold up is priceless.
Gallipoli - Powerful ending. If you have not seen Gallipoli, the end hits you like a punch in the gut. I first saw the movie on cable. I cannot imagine what it would be like to exit a theater full of people after seeing that.
The Game - great twist ending.
300 - For a movie that was all about artistic style and kicking ass, what better way to finish than with a horde of charging Spartans roused to victory by the memory of brave Leonidas and the 300.
Braveheart - Goes out in style just like 300, but instead lets rip with a horde of charging Scotts. In fact, I think I'll pour myself a glass of Scotch right now now in tribute.
How bout no
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
Gran Torino has a great ending. At first you're like WTF just happened!!! But then you realize how badass Clint Eastwood is even when he's 357 years old
- Sixth Sense (I know others said it too)
- Confidence. Very underrated movie, but I think it is a great one.
Just caught the last 30 minutes this morning.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
The end of higher learning when Tyra Banks gets murdered is pretty solid
Man on Fire

I don't normally like musicals, but the end of Le Miserables had me choked up a little bit.
Probably doesn't qualify as an 'ending" but the first half of Full Metal Jacket was the best ending for a movie - after Pvt. 'Gomer Pyle' Lawrence kills Gunnery Sergeant Hartman and himself the movie is pretty much over.
I can't believe this thread went 1.5 pages before this movie was mentioned.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
You watch that today too? I watched End of Watch today, pretty good ending
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
It's good, not great imo....
YOU OWE ME FOR ONE JELLY DONUT
Gotta be the Devil's rejects...
The ending to Devils rejects, sung by Lynyrd Skynyrd EPIC ENDING
Tell me I'm a good man. Saving Private Ryan. Chokes me up.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels / Snatch / RockNRolla
The first Godfather. It isn't possible to beat it.
Edit: Best final seconds/shot.

TURDS ALL UP IN THIS MUG. /// "2010 Auburn Tigers, my favorite team. Unbeaten in all ways." -- Dan Wetzel, April 4, 2013, 6:29 p.m.
Here it is, fellas: Homeward Bound. FTW.
When that old yellow lab pops up over the hill and the ugly kid (who gave up hope like a bitch) runs to him, there's just not a dry eye in the house. If you can seriously say this scene doesn't touch you, you've either never owned a dog or you're some kind of homo who thinks people take his self-projected bad ass reputation seriously (the reality is everyone thinks you're a douche).
The character study of Michael Corleone is one of the most intriguing characters in not only movie history but real history. When you have posters on here that say movies like the Hangover are better ending scenes than the Godfather it's no wonder how George Bush got elected to two terms.
I'll throw Clockwork orange, Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, Rocky, Raging Bull, Reservoir Dogs, the Shining and even Drive..
Not a movie ending but definitely one of the best surprise endings ever for a show - the final scene fom the Bob Newart Show
"Great Moments in Sitcom History: A Eulogy" - Kempt's 5-part series on the moments that shaped sitcom history.
The usual suspects
