So .... at some point snake decided they "didnt need legs" and for the better of their species evolved into slithering??? Did the legs slowly mutate away?? Did they go away all at once? How did the snake learn to slide on its belly? So if thats true, if a lizard was born without legs, would it slither like a snake or would it just flip flop on the ground? Would it adapt and learn, or would be killed in the wild before it learned to slither? How come all reptiles in the area such as the desert didnt start to evolve into either slithering or walking. It seems to me if evolution is real, then EVERYTHING would eventually evolve into the unltimate creature, (survival of the fittest). Why arnt humans as strong physically as apes? If we are evolved from apes as superior apes (humans) why didnt we take with us in our evolution the strength of the ape? That would be a great evolutionary trait that we dont possess. Why cant we fly?? Why cant we breath underwater?? Will we evolve into those traits someday? Those traits will be handy, nobody would ever drown, or people could fly away from danger. Why do we understand right and wrong? Why do we possess guilt, love, hope, and all other emotions? If I want to be the most dominant creature on earth, I definitly dont want guilt and love. I want to crush anything in my way to be the most dominant creature, but if I kill someone on my way to the top, id feel guilty. That will hault my journey to the top.
Just some thoughts I have.

so, these little swingers share 99% of your DNA?
so, does that mean you are 99% bisexual, or by my math, 49.5% gay?
www.yohoodent.com ... errybawdee awn ignorle
What's the latest thinking on "aquatic ape"? Havent read anything on it in dacades, but it makes perfect sense to me. If you believe in creation, you should bail on this thread. You're not gonna convince anybody they're wrong because of minor inconsistencies then suggest they buy a God just made it all. I only wish i could still think like that- life would be much more simple
This demonstrates that you have a poor understanding of what the theory of evolution actually is. Please read some of the links provided itt, or even just the Wikipedia page would be fine.
Yes dude I'm in the military, married but totally gay you caught me. Afterall humans throw their own crap, our at least maybe where you come from they do. On the flip side, dolphins bang for fun, and show boat, sounds pretty familiar to something that humans do. Also yes filthiness can be homo's, another similarity with humans. But yeah keep saying ridiculous stuff to make yourself feel good.
there's no gays in the military... at all... in other news... the innernets are not surrus bidness
You sir are a genius. Rather than gay bash and talk crap, try bringing some facts into the conversation.
And yes there are gays in the military, but I'm one of them because I don't agree with your belief?
now i have beliefs?
it's a joke, you fucking faggot.
get a fucking sense of humor.
man, you should kill yourself. I DON'T HAVE ANY BELIEFS... IT IS A FUCKING JOKE TO BREAK THE FUCKING STUPIDITY OF YOU FUCKING MORONS TRYING TO CONVINCE EACH OTHER, WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
THE INTERNETS IS NOT SURRUS BIDNESS.
that is all
yes I'm totally trying to prove something. You on the other hand are a d-bag. Get a job and do something with your life. That is all.
arm a d-bag...
you did a good won thurr, big killer! herrrrrrrrr duurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
you get a real job, and stop getting paid for playing soldier, leaching off the gubments
Look at my damn icon please. It's an air traffic control badge. That constitutes as a real job. Keep trying.
and, still, i am paying your salary.
back to fuckin work with your worthless ass...
As someone has already posted, you have a very poor understanding of evolution. It isn't pushing everything towards a perfect being, just as a car rolling down a hill isn't seeking a perfect place to stop.

Yeah the huge $24,000 I pulled in last year compared to the civilian who did the same job and made anywhere from $120,000-$200,000.
This is sadly true.
If I had the nerves I'd probably do it.
Wow, all I can say is I could take pages respond in detail to all those questions and I'm not going to do that.
I will say this how "survival of the fittest" has been one of the most misunderstood concepts in Darwinian evolution. Survival of the fittest does not = survival of the strongest, humans are relatively weak compare to many other animals. Survival of the fittest means survival of the species who's trait allow them to best adapt to their environment to ensure their long-term survival. Chimp societies are hierarchal and aggressive, bonobo societies are communal and peaceful, both species have been equally successful in surviving as both are here today. I should say bonobos and chimps again evolved from a common ancestor. Resource abundance allowed bonobos to adapt a peaceful society, while resource scarcity is through to be the main driver behind why chimps are so aggressive in comparison.
Are you aware that alligators/crocs swim in a side-to-side "slithering" motion? Why do you think that their legs are so small relative to the size of their body. Because they spend most of their time in the water but do need to come on land to breed. Nature makes "compromises", it doesn't construct the "ultimate" creature. Sharks have been more or less the same as they are now since the time of the dinosaurs, they did not need to change anything because they found a form that worked and has continued to work for millions of years. Would you call sharks the ultimate creature. Snakes didn't "decided" they no longer needed legs it just was not required. I think it was likely the ancestors of snakes eventually just stop coming back on land to the point where external legs no longer even grew. Nature tends to move towards the most energy-conservative strategies, meaning if snakes no longer needed to use their legs, it was a waste of energy to have them, just more energy needed to grow, maintain, and repair any increasing non-useful appendage.
My advice is if you really interested find someone who's actually an evolutionary biologist to explain these things.

Nobody else finds it strange that we can only trace the earliest human bones (the ones that we've found atleast) back 2 million years? Even with state of the art carbon dating. How old is the earth itself? Sorry but there's no way a species as evolved as us only took 2 million years to 'create'. I mean our central nervous system would have taken eons to create in itself. It's like a goddam work of art. How did we evolve so fast?

So have the mutations simply stopped? The closest modern instance I can think of is people are being born without appendix's. There are more and more reports of it happening every year. Is this the beginning of another genetic mutation? And if so why don't we need our appendix?
Because it no longer serves a purpose. Doctors will tell you doesn't actually do anything anymore. It's vestigal

So somewhere along the line our bodies recognized this. That we don't need a certain organ so it dismisses it. Amazing. How do our bodies from one generation to the next recognize this? What happens biologically that makes our bodies at the moment of creation say, welp, you don't need that anymore?
humans come from when daddy sticks his weewee in mommy's wuwu
When the sperm enters the egg? What is the issue with that?
I imagine the vestigal nature of the appendix is imprinted in the DNA and when the cells reproduce in the creation of the new offspring the DNA sequencing that has "grow appendix" is switched off. The DNA combinations of our parents instruct the form of the offspring. Look at hereditary diseases sometimes the genes are switch on and its passed on, sometimes its not, hence the cases where doctors say you have a 50-50 chance of having it. Vestigal tails are on the opposite end of the appendix. A VERY low percentage of newborns are born with vestigal tail while most humans aren't, meaning the genetic code is there for tail growth but we have got to the point evolutionarily where 99.9% of the time it is not active.
Crazy. Wonder what's next. Although don't we have the capability now to actually manipulate a DNA strand if we wanted to?
Yup, the basis of biotechnology.
