I was packing for a flight to Philly
9th grade English, we watched it on tv, then they let us go home
Obviously your flight was cancelled but how did you feel about flying after? I flew to DC about a month later for work, going wasn't bad but coming home I got to admit I was nervous for the first time ever on a flight. Security at Dulles was a b*tch!!
What's funny is the younger posters have no idea what it was like to fly before 2001 and really puts some of the things we consider a inconvenience into perspective.

9th grade history class. We were sitting in there taking notes when another teacher coming running through the door in tears. Our teacher didn't say a word to us, just turned on the TV and left the room. We sat there for another hour just watching all the news coverage.

You guys should turn on the History channel right now. Scary stuff.
Exxon Refinery in Baton Rouge. I was 23. Exxon cleared the plant of all nonessential personnel. When I got to the office, I found a tv to watch the coverage. I was so mad (cursing, throwing things). Then I started to panic because my father had a flight that day. He was fine, but I couldn't get it touch with him.

I know what you mean. I flew to San Jose about a week or so after 9/11 (can't remember exactly but it was a few days after they lifted the no fly rule). Everyone on the plane was nervous, looking around, watching everyone. We got into some bad weather and people started getting scared. It wasn't really bad, but everyone was on edge.
