Bourbon for me.
And of course Jim Beam.
Finlaggan single malt (islay) from trader joes for $17/bottle is all you need to know.
I only drink single malt. I like things strong. Like Guinness , triple espressos, strong red wine, and single malt. Islay is the strongest single malt as far as I know.

I have been a Crown fan too for about 35 years. The black has a little more alcohol and has a richer body than regular Crown. I like it, but if you want to try something that's very, very good and a great value, try some (R&R) Rich and Rare Reserve for around $18-20 for 1.75 ltr. It is the best 3-4 year old Canadian whiskey that I have ever tasted. I worked for the local liquor distributor for 22 years, and sold Seagram's products for 15 of those so I have tasted almost every Canadian blend out there. I have switched about 5-6 of my tailgating friends over to it in the last year, and their opinion is the same.I don't know if it is available nationwide, but they rolled it out in South Carolina about 18 months ago because we have an extremely high canadian consumption rate here. One of the larger chain stores, Total Wine and More, has refused to carry it because they know that it will cannibalize their Crown sales. That's a strong enough testament for me.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.

Shocked no one has mentioned Basil Hayden yet , you guys are missing out
Those aren't too expensive. Between 30-50 bucks.
wait, wait, wait....I'm an avid Crown on the rocks drinker. Are you saying this "mist" stuff tastes similar enough (and doesn't give you terrible hangovers) and is 1/3 of the price?
Hard to believe to be honest....

I'm sure I'm alone but Old Charter 8-10 yr old with a with a cap of sprite is what good ole fashioned Kentucky Bourbon is supposed to taste like...lol I'm a TN boy but if it ain't from Kentucky it ain't worth tryin...Just my opinion!
p.s. I was really excited to see this thread
Not with Charter, it has a good bourbon taste that doesn't lite your ass up, I believe that's your main difference in Bourbon and Whiskey, gotta have that smokey taste
Whiskey is from Scotland. I prefer singles over blends
Has anyone had any of the Pappy Van Winkle? I am just trying to find some of the 10 year. The 23 year I have heard is almost impossible to find.
Scotch and rare breed Turkey Roll Tide
This is the good chit. Bourbons drinkers its a must try. But the bottle is empty.
No I did not lose a sig bet, but I am really really really ridiculously good looking.
Yes, I've had the 12 year and it is great. Best bourbon I've ever had. They just released their batch for this year. I put my name on every waiting list I could find and ended up getting some of the 15 year and 12 year. Haven't tried the 15 year yet.

I haven't even found a place that carries it where I live.
I say whiskey drinkers and thread get almost three pages. Board has problems
We had a bourbon thread on here before that went for a while IIRC.
Yeah I know it is expensive but I have to get my hands on my some.
Buy it. Send it to me. I owe you forever.
Where is here? Don't think it's available anywhere in Alabama.
Drinking Eagle rare tonight. Fantastic.
Never had that. How much is it?
