We were not a good team our first two games. We were much better our last 6. Now are you trying to compare yourself to us or Alabama? Because we were merely a "solid" team last year. Alabama was great. It is pretty clear that you weren't up to Alabama's level.
and clearly you weren't up to Ohio University's level, see what I did there?? You do not have an argument from any angle.
Based on the time of day you posted this, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just got home from the bar and were about a .25 BAC. You couldn't possibly have been sober and read what I wrote and thought I said USCs sanctions were worse. That is unless you are actually Corky Thatcher. If so, ask a grown up to read it to you and explain it.
Again, really solid argument. You're we're on fire last night.
Trophies for cellars dwellers? I know it would have been much better had our coach been forced out because of hideous wrong doing on his part. Did you post the trifecta of stupid in honor of the Kentucky Derby being run yesterday?
< = less than.
Last night somebody posted something along the lines of "PSU thinks they're the only program to come back from horrible sanctions (see USC struggles)." My "<<<<<" post was meant in response to that.
Also, just a side note, but USC's struggles this season had nothing to do with whatever sanctions were handed down. They sucked because they have Kiffen for a HC. The talent and depth was there.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
When the "big boys" are either sanctioned or not allowed to play in the CCG, then yes.
Marley, you're killing me. Allow me to let you in on a little secret: one fluke season doesn't mean you're back to the point you can talk down to every other fanbase in the Midwest (although that's never stopped Irish fans before). There's a reason why, up until last September, Notre Dame hadn't been relevant in my lifetime.
"Leaders & Legends? Really? How about just name the divisions, Ohio State & everyone else." -Colin Cowherd
Should say big boy. Ohio st. PSU has the same number of conf championships as Northwestern and Iowa since joining the B1G. And Michigan was eligible. You can go to the Navy home board and wax poetic about the good ole days.
Yep. If Kiffen had played loud music at practice and had UCLA and Stanford be ineligible for the Pac-12 Championship, maybe it would have been different.

Hahahaha. It has to be Kiffin, not the sanctions. He somehow went from good coach(10-2 in 2011). To idiot in 2012. That's even more laughable.
Not loud music. He should have hung banners up and gave the team rings.
So you are basing PSU's future on the first game of BOB's career? Yeah, you are quite logical.
Why wax poetic about back when? We've beaten the "class of the B1G," very recently. I'd focus on things like that before going to a Navy board.
Watching USC play Wisconsin last year would've been hilarious. So much fail on both teams.
When was Kiffin ever accused of being a good coach?
Northwestern, I think has the best shot. A B1G final against Nebraska could be hard....I also believe SDSU is very underrated- they beat Boise St last year. SEC schedule it is not...but it still has its hard games...
So was your 12-0 season a fluke to?
No. Not at all. I thought we were talking about last season. You're the one who brought it up.
When did 8-4 become a good season?
When the team was playing with 15 less scholarship players than everyone else, had some of its best players transfer a couple weeks before the first game, started out 0-2 with bad losses, and was predicted to win about 3 games.
Bingo. There it is. I was waiting for PSU fans to use that crutch.
Which part was a crutch? They're all facts. We had 71 on scholarship I think vs. 85 for other schools. Silas Redd and Justin Brown transferred less than a month before the season. PSU lost two games to start that it shouldn't have. People projected PSU to win 3 (Vegas projected 5 wins).
8-4 last year was a good season. I think most reasonable fans would agree on that. It wasn't a great season. It was a good season by most measures, as the question asked.

Sure, at least as much of one as yours. The difference is Ohio State didn't lose 3-4 games a year minimum in the previous 20 years.
He was good enough to go 10-2 in 2011. In 2012, he either had way less talent and depth ,probably because of sanctions , or became a horrible coach. You said he was the reason , not the sanctions. This is like arguing with a SPED student. You can't even follow your own arguments.
One title since 1968...better look in the mirror.
