On History. You libs can learn a thing or two watching this. These guys made a lot of money but also risked it all. Just saying.

My son's message to Obama, Clemson, and Georgia
I've seen the first 3 episodes, I gotta catch up on OnDemand
University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
I feel like libs and conservatives can learn a thing or two by watching it...
All men who came from nothing. Morgan grew up rich, but the rest came from nothing. Pulled themselves up. In today's America they would have been taught to not only take a handout, but demand it. We have fallen far.
Rockefeller's comment about "what you call monopoly, I call enterprise" was great.
No, monopolies are bad any way you slice it.
I especially liked the part where they were forcing people to work 6 12 hour days for a hardly livable wage and then hired the pinkertons to shoot them when they complained. Libs need to learn how to play hardball I guess.
The conservative argument from this is that there should be incentive for taking huge risk.
Monopolies are not efficient within the overall economy. The only entity capable of a monopoly like those described in this show is the government.
I like how, 4 words into your second sentence, you've already completely contradicted your first. Well done!
How does "came" contradict "All"?
Are you sure about that? Are you sure you don't want to straddle the fence once again and say that monopolies and people need to learn to work together? You know the usual tripe you spew in these threads.
But anyway I didn't say that monopolies were good, I just thought it was a great line.
Yeah I know, but my point was still clear. Just giving Ann Arbor a taste of his own medicine on that response.
My bad... SFK whatever...the guy is the king of political clichés...gets old. Basically he doesn't understand politics and comes on here sounding like a beauty pageant contestant.

Every post is about coming together blah blah blah. You sound like you are running for office all the time. Just give your opinion. Everybody knows the parties will have to work together at some point.
I said monopolies are bad. I thought that was an opinion?
I'm all for working together. I support conservative economics but liberal social issues. And I mostly stay moderate. It's why I vote libertarian.
Whatever dude I am drinking, just stop with the kumbaya all the time.
Well fvck you then!
I'm drinkin', too, mang. It's all good. Roll Tide.
F-you and Roll Tide!
Read my post again. I said "4 words into your second sentence". As in, "All men who came from nothing" is contradicted by "Morgan grew up rich..."
You edited it.
Enjoyed the one on Carnegie...I need to catch up as well.
And let's all be honest with ourselves: As much respect as these men deserve for their achievements and hard work, they certainly didn't do so without their fair share of unethical business practices.
