Go Blue & Gig Em'!
AS IT STANDS AS OF TEN MINUTES AGO:
Mike Gundy was offered the job and has been rumored to have turned it down. Charlie Strong has been offered and Louisville is preparing a counteroffer as we speak. Larry Fedora is waiting on the back-burner to see what happens with these two candidates. He interviewed yesterday.
Butch Jones. Who???
Believe Gundy was just using the offer for leverage with OSU.
Suprised they went after Gundy.
Gundy with an outside chance at Strong. It's amazing to me just how far UT has fallen. Karma is a bitch
"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
tbh, I doubt they really offered. This search has been such a whirlwind of ish, I think the only concrete information known by anyone is that Tennessee has talked to these three candidates.
I would definitely take Strong over Gundy if was in Tennessee's position and had a chance to get both candidates. I might even take Fedora over Gundy
I would tend to agree. Strong would be the best recruiter of the three.
Canes fan here and I would take Gundy. He's been in bigger spots and the SEC is the biggest... He can handle it.
Well he is a man.
He's 40. errr, 40 something now. I like Gundy and think he gets a lot out of his teams. Defensively, they just weren't that good there, but playing OU every year and lining up vs the likes of Texas, he knows the lay of the land as to what is a big atmosphere as a HC and can handle it.
Rumor is Strong has turned it down, but Im not buying that yet. Being reported on a local Tampa Sports radio show.
Didn't ESPN say he was sticking with Louisville? Dumb move imo. You don't turn down Tennessee to stay with Louisville.
FWIW, I have heard that they would like a deal done by today. So if Charlie is really talking, they are going to be putting out all the stops.
I think Strong will take it if offered.... Maybe playing the waiting game???
totes. biggest smokescreen in the history of ever.
Fedora. Pretty simple, iyam.
I thought much more highly of Dave Hart than this. He's fvcked this thing up from the start.

I think we all know the obvious choice here...
I was about to make this comment as well. Search seems very similar to Dooleys a few years ago.
SEC can't handle this. All South Carolina players lose their schollies and work at gas stations. Muschamp leaves because Rocky Top is being played all night long. Georgia cries because Kiffin will never lose to Georgia while he is at Tennessee. Don't even get me started on the gumps.
It's a beautiful thing
Classy post, +1.
