They do recently and I don't get it. On paper we match up well against their defense. Tides will change.
UCLA used to own us too.
Soory,I have memory problems like that guy in "Momento", only goes back 2 years.
I can only speak of what I have seen with my own eyes.
If you guys were more of a challenge, like maybe WF or NCST, I could see you as being rivals.

Bama fans don't worry about Auburn, we simply make fun of it.
Minnesota. and it is our protected rivalry too.
Mississippi State.. They haven't beat us in at least 12 years
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Lol at Bama fans saying LSU is one sided. Like your players and fans don't circle that game on the schedule every year.
It's all good, brother. dub is just messing with me. Lol, we're brothers.
South Carolina considers UGA a big rival, but we are probably 4th on their list.
Bama/LSU was one sided up until '03. I'd say now, it's the biggest rivalry in the SEC.
good one, think it should be a good one tally this year.
Yeah, this is true.. Both teams are way to good to be "one sided"
Without question. I enjoyed the short lived rivalry we had with UF but this one is infinitely better IMO.
God, give me patience today. If given strength I may beat someone to death.
+ 100. Aubie needs to get over himself.
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
I have to agree with the OP about NAMBLA.
I think you are only responding to half of the question. Since the turn of the century, it's been a great series. In fact, LSU leads since the turn of the century 12 years ago (9-4 LSU).
Also, you would be outright lying if you said that Bama fans and players don't consider LSU a rivalry. You guys circle that date on the calendar every year.
Finally, regarding your "outside of the Saban at LSU seasons" comment...why the hell would we not count those seasons? Last I checked, he was the LSU coach at that time and the wins went towards LSU's schedule. Why would you subtract wins from that period of LSU football? (Can't wait for this explanation)
I can agree with most of this....however, I would say the one-sided nature stopped at the turn of the century. Also, before the 2000s, I wouldn't say that LSU fans considered Bama a rival at all. Now, as you said, this is the best rivalry in the SEC (if not the country b/c of the high stakes).
In actually responding to the post (and not just trying to cut down other SEC schools, I think LSU's biggest one-sided rival would have to be either UL-Lafayette or Tulane. Both schools think that they can compete with LSU but never win. Tulane hasn't won since 1982 and UL-Lafayette hasn't won won a game against LSU (LSU up 21-0 in the series). However, the fans of the two schools think that LSU is a rival.
+1... We just piggy back on teams because we don't have a rival.. We feel left out and need someone to hug
Hoping for a great game this year. I miss our classic battles.
My understanding of the original question was name a school whose fans obsess over you more than worry about them. LSU, Arky, and Moo State fans fit the bill for Auburn
LSU seems to switch their obsession between Alabama and Auburn depending on who is better. It is obviously been Alabama the last two years. However, LSU never rises about the 3rd most important game to most Auburn fans under any circumstances

Do you honestly believe LSU fans care about Auburn more than Auburn cares about LSU? If you do, I feel sorry for you. In fact, out of our yearly SEC schedule, Auburn is maybe 4th on the list of games we "obsess" over. Again, get over yourself.
In my lifetime, it'd be Minnesota because they have sucked hard recently.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
Yes, the Baton Rouge Advocate took a poll one year asking LSU fans their biggest rival and the answer came back Auburn. Of course, this was back when Tuberville was still the coach at Auburn. You probably have obsessed more over bammer more the last two years, but you just have to go back to 2010 to find when your obsession with Auburn was in full effect. As I said LSU would never rise above 3rd place on Auburn's rival list during any year
I have no idea what poll you are talking about and, being a lifelong LSU fan (30+ years), I would not and have never considered Auburn a "rival." Self-inflation is a great thing and is sometimes needed depending on circumstances...but you're delusional. I would love to see this poll and, if it exists, see the sample size before I concede anything.
As for your general and reaching statement about 2010, when a team is good...you want to beat them. I am sure it was a big game for Auburn last year when you guys came to BR. However, no one in BR gave any mind to the fact that Auburn was coming to town...we were MUCH more worried about Bama.
It amazes me how important you have to make your school seem...I think it's a defense mechanism for the season your school is having. For that, I feel sorry for you.
