Was it Sumlin or Sherman?
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
It's all good. Jennings is going to take his pants off next season and lay a turd on everyone.
Who is Jennings?
He was there before Sumlin.
Anthony Jennings, Early Enrollee freshman who's already earned 2nd string. Had one of the sickest films you'll see and made some great plays in the spring game.
Duel threat, can really throw and really run. We haven't had a guy like this in a while.
Is he going to RS?
Sherman is the answer to the Q.
Coach Sumlin the benefactor of terrific timing and catching lightening in a bottle, but he deserves credit for helping create the lightening for sure IMO.
I think an interesting Q is if Manziel would have been the starting QB - at the beginning of the season - had Mike Sherman been the head coach in his offensive scheme.
Both made the absolute most of an opportunity, which is very cool.
Funny how timing is so key in life - in so many ways.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
It was Chip Kelly, who also recruited Marcus Mariota and Anthony Jennings.
Sumlin was the head coach at Houston when Manziel was recruited. Sumlin did not offer Manziel as a QB.
No way, he's 2nd string
Hayden Rettig will have to sit and wait his turn behind Jennings.

Tom Rossely is the answer, not Mike Sherman or Sumlin.
Sherman might not have been a great college coach, but he is one hell of a talent evaluator. Something I didn't know was that A&M has had OL drafted in the first round three straight years. Next year will make that four, impressive.
long time no see. Where is this Rossely out now?

Mike Sherman was the head coach of Texas A&M when Manziel signed, bottom line.
You can play a splitting hairs game all day, but it was on Mike Sherman's watch.
This is also correct.
Sherman didn't want Manziel, he trusted the opinion of Tom Rossely. That's the reason that we have Manziel.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
That's not true, we had Ryan Tannehill go round 1 last year and Von Miller the year before. We've had 3 straight top 8 picks and will have 4 next year with Mattews but not all of them played on the OL.
We agree, but the head coach okays the offers. It's on his watch, bottom line. If you trust the staff you hired, that is what happens.
This is not a splitting hairs game or a mythical texas offer that may or may not be there.
The question was who recruited Manziel.
Your answer of Mike Sherman, is wrong.
Come on Mike Leach, try harder.
I live in SA, Rossely is out here in the hill country retired.
Idiot alert. The question was not who recruited Manziel. The question was who recruited Manziel, Sumlin or Sherman? The answer is Sherman. Manziel would have been the perfect person for Houston to recruit as a QB. Sumlin turned up his nose.
Congrats on your moral victory?
go back to you hole, you have no idea what you are talking about.
This one has trouble dressing himself.
