dont be a homer
the kid doesnt have the feet to be an OT at the next level. theres a ton of guys who can play tackle in college but have to move inside to guard at the NFL. if he cant pass protect that well in the SEC hes going to be eaten alive in the league. with his size he projects better as a guard where he can maul people in the run game
hes going to have to face elite guys like von miller, aldon smith, JPP, clay matthews etc
FSU Ambassador to the masses
No flame at all but if you think Fluker is an NFL quality LT, you're either a homer or know nothing about OL play.
No shot at Fluker but he doesn't have quick enough feet to cover Von Miller or Clay Matthews type DE/OLB.
But, talk about a MAULER at G.. He has the potential to be a fantastic Guard.
LT is the 2nd most important player (QB #1) on the entire team, especially in today's NFL but he can have a good career as a G.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
He's not a LT. He is a RT. he has 37 inch arms. Longest arms in the draft by far.
10 Major Poll National Titles (CFB record)
35 Bowl Wins (CFB record)
72 Wins over last 6 years (CFB record)
Fluker- 6'4 7/8 Lbs-339
Watson- 6'5 1/8 Lbs-310
Fluker is a much larger person!
Watson is the better pass pro while Fluker is the better run blocker. I'm not saying Fluker can hold up against NFL DE's but he more than held his on against first round talents DE's that are in this years class and years before.
Nice dv. Just shows you guys don't have a friggin clue. So arms mean he has quick feet? Lol at you guys saying he'll be a starting Lt in the NFL.
Fluker is a RT in the league. People said the same thing about Andre Smith and after his injuries he's one of the better RT in the league.
People talk about his pass pro issues in college but I didn't see him struggle against Mingo or Montgomery or 99% of the snaps he played.
dude. no one said he will be a starting LT in the NFL, but to say he will never be a RT in the NFL is foolish. there is a reason he is projected in the top 20 in the draft, and it ain't to play guard.
Fluker dominated LSU's best
Yeah, 166 total rushing, 165 passing and 20 minutes of possession of LSU's 39 minutes.. Also, 1-9 3rd down. 331 total yards.
Yeah, he sure "dominated"
Plus, has nothing to do with anything.
I said he would be a great G but wouldn't play as a LT and you guys go crazy like what I said was crazy.
Keep posting, you're entertaining.
Yo, how many times do I have to say he is not a LT in the nfl? Seriously, how many do u need?
LT or RT hes still going to have to face edge rushers that will cross his feet up and beat him like a drum. dude could be an all pro at guard but would be a pedestrian at best tackle. it is what it is, no reason to get pissy about it
"DJ Fluker to me is by far and outstanding right tackle. He's going to be a first round pick," - Mike Mayock
"I had two teams tell me they think DJ Fluker can play left tackle, no way he gets out of the top 25" - Mel Kiper
And yet, you think we are being crazy. I think his most probable draft is to the Bears or Colts.
yeah because kiper and mayock are never wrong. both of them had 1st round grades on blaine gabbert. i call it as i see it. dudes feet are too slow
i also dont think youre being crazy. i think you guys are being complete homers
did you even read the kiper quote??
yep and i dont doubt that somebody wont take a chance but i think hes going to get wrecked at OT and move inside to guard like robert gallery had to and hes going to be a monster there
Called it. Davis had 31 reps on the bench press which was better than all but 1 RB (Bohannon was #1..who ran a 4.88 40) and ran a 4.37 40 yard dash which was the 2nd fastest among RBs, only behind McCaleb (who weighs 168 pounds, while Knile weighs 227).
Gragg was great too though.... #1 in the 40 yard dash, broad jump, and vertical jump. 3rd in the 3 cone drill and 7th in the bench press.
Man I wish we (Saints) didnt need defense so badly because Tavon Austin would be a PERFECT fit in Sean Payton's Offense. He would excel here more than almost anywhere else.
Payton's last year coaching before the Bounty crap utilized Sproles brilliantly. Sproles broke the NFL record for most all-purpose yards in a season with well over 2.000 yards... Tavon in this O would be insane to go with Sproles, Colston, Brees, Jimmy Graham, Pierre Thomas, D. Henderson, Joe Morgan (will breakout this year), Lance Thomas and Ingram.

Really hoping this kid can stay healthy. I usually prefer the 5'8"-5'10", 200-220 pound RBs as they are usually shiftier and very powerful and with their low center of gravity they are very difficult to get a clean hit on (see...Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders and why they are the leading rushers of all-time.... Production & Durability).....but I also like the "SuperFreak" bigger backs like Herschel, Bo, Adrian Peterson.
I told folks on BOL last year that Knile Davis is a better "pure-freak" than any RB I can ever recall at Bama. His issue is that he seems to have smaller or weaker bone structure which led to his 3 broken ankles and 2 subsequent surgeries. Hopefully the inserted rods will prevent future ankle injuries. He also has smaller hands than expected for a RB his size.
****I would be interested in knowing his shoe size as a big foot relative to height/weight tends to improve the balance of athletes and it all starts with the feet. If he has similarly small feet [relative his smaller hands] he could have more problems down the road.
With all that said, he may be the best "pure-freak" measureables RB I've seen in a while. If his ankles check out..... He and Giovani Bernard would be my 1-2 RBs in this draft. Wouldn't take either in the 1st round though at this moment.
If Davis regains his 2010 form and remains healthy he will be a future Pro Bowler.
You get out of it what you put into it!
Dion ran a 4.53
He must have got a cramp. Gotta love homers and their predictions. You only missed it by 22!
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Mingo ran 4.53 too
Very impressive. Jordan dropped to a 4.6 flat when the times became official.
So did Cornelius Washington.
Impressive prediction sir. Second faster combine time ever with a 4.27
