I can see any scenario working in our favor. Just 140 years of college football history says the chance is slim.
The difference is that yes if you were betting a couple years ago that Bama would win 3 in a row, then yes that would be outlandish. Now that you already have 2 in the bag, it is only this year left.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
I don't think it has ever happened, right Stache? Unless maybe the Harvard/Yale days where it really shouldn't even count as a 3-peat.
There's a time value to the odds though. Three years ago and it would be statistically improbable to call a three peat. But now with two under the belt, the schedule, talent, and the BCS benefit of doubt it's statistically probable.
whoops. yes. this^^

We've got the most brutal schedule in the nation the first 4 weeks with 3 top ten teams.
But it is possible with USC and LSU at home and weaker than last year.
After that its UF and nothing else really.
So it's definitely possible, but my guess is we take a loss somewhere in there and still make it to the SEC champ game for another great game btw the best two teams in the nation.
I get the other fan bases being awestruck by you guys. It's their nature. I look forward to many things this season, but I do look forward to placing a cherry on top in the IB most of all. You guys are what helped make the IB the most enjoyable win for me on '10.
UGA fans are funny.
Don't think so? I thought Chip made some great in game adjustments over his tenure.
Not saying Helfrich can't do that, but I've never seen what he can do.
Haha I sure hope you aren't as stupid as you make yourself out to be. Do you reproduce?
"Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff"
10/11 starters back on offense with the SEC's leading returning rusher and leading returning passer (who will break all the SEC career passing records this year).
The defense lost a ton of starters, but there's unproven talent all over. That's the question mark.
Our offense can score on anyone (as they showed going toe to toe with a great Bama team last year).
We're not the favorites like Bama and we have a much more difficult schedule than them, but we certainly have the make up of a team to win it all if breaks go our way.

I didn't see one outlandish or cocky thing said by a Bama fan. However, I do see an AU fan implying that a team that has been roasted two years in a row with only marginal improvement to the roster will beat a team with consecutive NCs and consecutive top ranked recruiting classes. That sounds outlandish to me.
UGA/Bama vs Auburn the last two years...
174 - 21...
He did. But did he even have to make many adjustments last year? Most games were blow outs by the 3Q. And he also made decidedly pig headed and head scratching decisions (Stanford).
Helfrich is the ultimate wild card but it says something that he was the universal choice amongst players and staff. I guess all I'm saying is he has the players, the system down, a favorable schedule, a playbook you could fit on a few flash cards... You couldn't ask for an easier transition. He'll have to suck to flail this season. Next season will be more illuminating imo
It's not homerish when you've won the last 3-4.
Why do you seem like you have a hurt buttocks?
LSU vs Oregon
LSU, A&M, n bama all have one loss and LSU wins tie breaker
Ha, that's cute. LSU loses at least 3 this year. Do you remember the offseason and everyone all the way down to the water boy declaring for the NFL from LSU?
And that OL with a year more experience which is so key.
Georgia is going to be one hell of an offensive team -- or should be if healthy.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
Yep. Georgia's offense is gonna be scary good this year. They're my pick to win the SEC this year.
And Auburn is terrible, your point?
And thanks for calling me cute
Gutsy pick. You should work for ESPN.
