with playing this, what seems like, week long inside Ohio State football after they broke rules and got sanctioned by the NCAA.
It seems odd that ESPN would bring publicity to a team that doesnt deserve it like Ohio St. I dont remember them doing this for USC when they got hit up? Will they have a training camp series next year or summer about Penn St., Miami, or North Carolina.
Just seems like a little bit of bad taste for dedicating week long programs to teams that did the wrong things in College Football. Am I wrong?

The easy answer is that Urbs got in close with a lot of people last year when he worked for ESPN.
The coach that was responsible is gone.
Two-time national champion coach Urban Meyer taking over at one of the Top 7 programs of all-time is news, especially since he only took one year off (kinda) and went back to his home state.
You can't hold the actions of the old coach and some players against the whole program going forward.
It's over and done with.
PS. Meyer is one of the very few coaches I actually dislike. In fact, he may be the only one I dislike. His whole "that's what's wrong with college football" self-righteous, hypocritical BS (along with his arrogance) makes me sick. However, I don't see a problem with ESPN sucking up to him and his new program because of what Tressell did.
ESPN doesn't care what the story is, if its about OSU they run it. They're doing the all-access stuff for the same reason they ran every single minute of anything involving OSU violations that they could, it sells.
Time and change will surely (truly) show
How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!
I agree, he is a punk.
Corch Urbs doing work, son.
Urb is good TV
Over/Under 5 years till he has health problems again. I'm going under
taking the under as well
FSU Ambassador to the masses
Because its tOSU. Like us or not, we're a top 3 program and we draw ratings, good or bad.
No flame but how are you guys a top 3 program?
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
I was wondering why this thread wasn't started earlier. Numerous conflict of interests and other ethical issues regarding free advertising for a former employee. Why can't we get the same show for Arizona, Washington State, Minnesota, or all the other average football teams with new coaches?
All this coverage for a 7-8 win team? That isn't even eligible for a bowl game?
Urban Meyer is definetely one of the "heels' in the college football world.
Sleazy, lying, POS.
Machiavellinism at its worst.
HE definitely belongs at OSU though. That is the type of coach they deserve. Everyone knew Tressel was crooked for years.
And he has used the same "I had a dream speech" on at least eight players. He needs to learn a new pick up line.
As soon as his wife bangs another booster he will fake a Heart Attack again.
They wanted to do Mississippi State but Mullen said no.
Didnt illinois have a similar show? I don't believe it helped zooker any.
I think he ment to say most popular? Not top 3 but #1. That's the reason behind ESPN. Most fans and now maybe the most hated = ratings for ESPN.
I guess you're not a fan of Urban?
No OSU fan, but 8 BCS games (5 wins) and 6 conference championships in the last 10 years is pretty impressive. Which other teams would be "Top-3" in the past 10 years? USC obviously one, but can you name two more deserving than Ohio State? Honest question.
Maybe because they knew you would start a thread about it, people would talk about it, etc.
They are all about ratings now
Alabama and LSU come to mind ...maybe throw FL in there as well

He didn't state the last 10 years, though...
Maybe, I guess.
Lots of jelly on this thread. Better make some toast
True. I just assumed he meant recent history, because obviously he wasn't talking about last year nor this year.
