Head scratcher, IMO.
Because he will go higher in the draft
Maybe, but right now Peppers has an argument for # 1 overall player. Not sure how he is considered the # 2 defensive back.
How can you predict something like that right now?
Corners go higher than safeties and most think Peppers will end up at safety. MH is one of the faster CB's coming out of high school. He has the best high school db coach in the country, He's over 6 feet tall. His father was an NFL star so he has the pedigree. He will be coached by the best DB coach in college football, Coach Saban. Said coach has produced 4 first round DB's in 5 years. We told you the same thing about Milliner and Kirkpatrick. Anything else?
You're missing something.
Peppers won't be moving to safety. Also, Peppers is also over 6'0 tall and is extremely fast as well. I don't know Humphrey's track times, but I doubt it's much better, if better at all.

Peppers will play CB not S. And he will get some PT on the offensive side of the ball and maybe punt return. He's the best overall athlete in this class.
Marlon is considerably faster than Peppers
Who will Peppers be coached by? Saban DB's since 09':
2009- Rashad Johnson 3rd Round (Was a walk on RB before Saba showed up)
2010- Kareem Jackson 1st Round
2010- Javier Arenas 2nd round
2010- Marquis Johnson 7th Round
2012- Dre Kirkpatrick 1st Round
2012- Mark Barron 1st Round
2012- DeQuan Menzie 5th Round
2013- Dee Milliner 1st Round
Our guys have said from the beginning that MH is one of the best pure corners they've ever seen. This kid has been getting trained by NFL guys since he was 8. He moved to Hoover to get taught by the best in the state.
Why are either one rank ahead of Damon Webb.
What are you smoking?
Because he's not as good.
@Weedline - cool story brah. That doesn't mean Humphrey will be drafted above Peppers, in any way, shape, or form.
Because someone is for
Peppers has the fastest "wind-legal" 100m & 200m times of all prospects in the 2014 Class.
I'm a Bama fan and I think Peppers should be ranked higher. He's 25-30 pounds heavier than Humphrey and has slightly faster track times. He also seems to be the better athlete on film.

How could you possibly know who the best high school DB coach is? It's hard to argue with anything else you've said but that's absolutely retarded.
Because he coaches at Hoover. /thread
The last one is now the DC at FSU

"Damon Webb ran a 4.67 and jumped 28.1"
There are 2 reasons.
So your using the #6 HS team as evidence that their DB coach is #1 in the country? That is so subjective and stupid I don't know where to begin.
He was #5 to be exact
5. Damon Webb, CB, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech – Webb may have the best feet at the event among defensive backs. He mirrors wide receivers at the line of scrimmage with ease and he gets out of his breaks quickly, allowing him to find the football and limit separation.
Nah, just the fact that he will be on an SEC staff within the next two years and has already let the coaching staff know of his intentions. Just that....But whatever
No, its a legit question. Jabril Peppers is considered one of the best db prospects in the last 10 years and then you got this Marlon Humphery guy. I usually don't have a problem with 247 rankings but this one I don't understand.
Oh ok. He's got a job lined up two years into the future. That Head coach has not only decided to replace a BCS level DB coach with a 5A HS replacement but left him at the HS level to develop as opposed to having him move up to let's say a MAC program to prove himself. I'm sure the guy is a great coach but that's pretty thin.
Not sure about your point..."Brah". No question posed and contributes nothing in your case for Peppers. Whereas Weedline lays out his case quite well.
Marlon Humphrey is the state champ at 60 meters, 400 meters & 60 meter hurdles (6A -largest classification) so yes...he is faster. Does anyone have anything else to back up Peppers other than ESPN hype?
