now that the B1G finally went East vs West maybe the ACC will change the atlantic and costal. i dont really know who is in what just like the B1G's leader and ledgens. now that they added pitt and syracuse it would look better. i was thinking:
also i'll say they should probably go ahead and add wvu then one of uconn/cincinnati. then even if nd ever joined in football they would have a pretty damn good conference imo. pretty good for a conference that was on the edge of apocalypse.
SEC guy here, but I would vote for it. History has shown the geographical is the best way. Teams are constantly rising and falling. Setting up some arbitrary divisions based on "projected" strength is insane.
You can't have a division with Miami, FSU and Clemson.
However I do agree Miami and FSU should be in the same division.
Why not? Obviously the Southern division would be tougher but it makes sense. How many ACC fans can accurately name all the teams in each division? My only problem is that all the North Carolina schools need to stay together.
Consider the source. This was the line of thinking in the original expansion when the ACC wanted epic FSU v Miami championship games. Now, Miami can barely be counted on to break .500 in conference play.
its fine the way it is
Because we don't want have East/West division situation of the B1G where one division is strong and the other division is weak.
I would have these as my ACC divisions:
Eventually Miami will get it's sh*t together but we need to be in the same division.
It would be so arbitrary to not have it that way that nobody would vote for any other realignment. The south would be top heavy for a while but it all evens out over time. Louisville, VT, Pitt, and BC have all shown they can make sustained runs while the south would basically be a 2-3 team race every year.
Why? We play each other each year anyways and it allows us to face each other in the ACCCG.
We need to have that one important game every yr like back in the days were everything is on the line.
Playing possibly 2 games a yr diminishes that.
miami has to be worth a damn first
Like I said we're getting our sh*t together.
We're no NCState but I think we'll manage.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Crawl before you walk homeboy
Virginia level is much more obtainable
yikes, thats a low blow
What's it been a whole 2 years since they beat FSU?
Miami isn't geograhic but they are with old big east rivals. UVA might be pissed, but this would work.
yeah, which makes our jump to the top that much more impressive
Yes we would be
I don't see them changing anything..definitely don't want to end in some ACC North
Nobody beats Northern Illinois like you do!
Just come to the SEC, you can take Missouri's spot.
