So you really are as dumb as dirt. You want me to supply evidence for something that does not exist?
Why would USC have a complete report on O.J. Mayo, yet none on Bush?
Is that enough "evidence" for you? Or do you need mommy and daddy to tell you that Santa Clause exists as well?
It must be very sad for you to know that fans of other schools know so much more about your program than you are willing to learn.
So you answer is, there is no new or insider intel that lives on message boards that anyone in the outside world wouldn't be privy to? Agreed.
my answer is (and was): shaggy and bc were the first to "break" the lyles story. long before yahoo ever published anything, and long before the rest of the cfb world knew his name.
I'm not going to help you learn the complexities of google. Texas offered Seastrunk. The end. OU offered Seastrunk. Fact. Mack Brown offered Seastrunk and Texas pursued him... Texas didn't say dick publicly until they knew they had lost Seastrunk. Regardless, I was responding to the guy's idiotic post that said Texas, OU, etc didn't offer Lache.
Lyles said that the University of Texas was the driving force behind a “well-staged” media campaign designed to discredit him. A campaign Lyles told Shelton was originated, “when I didn’t want to steer kids their [Texas] way.”
Is this Lyles BS? Who the hell knows? But I can assure you that there are other message boards that think Mack Brown is a dottering, hypocritical, lying fool. And it's been said for YEARS. I'm just not so stupid that I'd cite these sources as credible fact.
And that wasn't my question. Once again... slowly this time... exactly what about Seastrunk's recruitment comes from the Texas message boards has not already been widely reported on - at length - by *credible* news outlets?
texas offered seastrunk. fact.
mack met w/ seastrunk in the spring of 2008 and discussed lyles w/ him. shortly after that meeting, mack pulled the offer. fact.
So....my brilliant one, you've chosen to fry a number of brain cells on this forum?
The Shag is an entertaining board, smartest damn homers on any board in CFB...but they know nothing not Texas-centric, and chose to remain so...
Also, they have an obsession and unhealthy delusion regarding one Mr. Vince Young...one would think they never had a star player in their entire history...I wonder how their wives enjoy sharing their beds with Vince between them and their spouses.
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
still upset about vy raping your little bitches, huh?
"Raped" ? Oh yeah, that was considered a Texas blowout..ask your Sooner pals what a NC blowout is....
No actually, not upset...greatest individual performance by a player in recent CFB history, I have no reason to be ashamed in the performance of my team, particularly considering our defense had half the starters sidelined for most of the season due to injury. Injuries happen in football, too bad ours were on one side of the ball, with the defensive starters.
Congrats, a three point win against true redshirt freshmen (Cushing) and walk ons (Ting Bros.) who quit the team to attend medical school. Texas at that point, was clearly the better team. Leinart and co. went up against a top defensive, while Vince and co went against a 29th ranked defense.
*if you check the scores all that season, EVERYONE scored high on USC...even shitty teams. Again, Texas won by three points...and the USC offense lost by only three with no defense.

"You can also *read in the report* where they offered up no internal investigation"
"USC, primarily because of Mike Garrett and the fact they had zero compliance department, never did any self investigating. This was *noted in the report* as well."
So now that you have affirmed that it actually cannot be read in the report, that it is nowhere noted in the report, Rabbit's the idiot?
i'd say 467 yards and 21 pts by one guy qualifies.
Haha it's a team effort bro. Not who has the better offense.
Oh yeah. End of Aug are the dog days work-wise. Idles hands and all...
Don't get me wrong, I've read some of the finest comedic material of all time on the Shag - especially when they're going after aTm. Personally I do have a major axe to grind with Mack (see: Rose Bowl 04') but zero beef with Texas fans. Unless they're wailing about players they never even offered going outside of Texas to play football.
Hope all is well with you!
Three points, bub...which means OUR offense kept up against your #2 ranked defense. Again, Vince went up against the second worse USC defense ever..Fresno freakin' State scored 42 points against that defense.
But, pat yourself on the back, Texas is now 1-4 vs USC, and your team won fair and square vs USC..but it was a battle. To be considered one of the greatest NC games of all time, it takes TWO TEAMS. Congrats, we know defense wins championship...be thankful you won by three against our rag-tag patch up defense.
That is my point...offenses were well matched, but your defense was far superior to ours because of USC's season ending injuries.
There is no debate, Matt Leinart and our offense went up a much better defense than Vince Young and your offense went up against. Everyone USC played that season scored high on us, that's what happens when you're left with walk-ons and true freshmen that end the season injured.
Texas fans and everyone else we went up against can brag about yards and points scored against that 2005 team.
Yeah, that game is painful to Trojans...but it has nothing to do with Texas, and everything to do with what "could have been" if not for all those injuries on one side of the ball...it could just as well been any nameless, faceless opponent across the field, that USC team could have been one for the ages if we just had a mediocre, healthy defense...our offense was that good. Three point loss confirms that vs a balanced Texas team.

I agree, it's a great forum..lot of witty guys on there, my favorite was the thread about those horrid statues..one of the greatest threads in CFB message boards.
Better come by for our tailgate...Cal game? Let me know!
also mathematically proven that cal had lost the #4 spot before mack said a word. oh, and cal got worked by a 4 loss tech team that we beat by 30.
Mathematically proven before Mack shameless whined?
BCS Guru (in quotes):
"Texas was done with its schedule on Nov. 26, after beating rival Texas A&M. Immediately thereafter, Brown started an endless media campaign on behalf of his No. 5-ranked Longhorns. His tactics also made the Cal-Southern Miss matchup something of a referendum on the Bears, whose game would be nationally televised on ESPN."
Cal didn't play their final game until Dec 4th. Before Mack's cry fest Cal lead Texas in the coaches poll by 48-points. After Cal won and the final poll was released Cal was ahead by only 5 points.
"In other words, no fewer than 20 coaches switched their placements of Texas and Cal. But more telling was that four coaches voted Cal No. 7 and two No. 8 -- after a Bears victory, and behind 2-loss Georgia."
As a direct result of this sham the coaches finally, reluctantly, agreed to reveal their final regular season balloting. The reality was that the AP voters that flipped on Cal in the final poll would have made the difference anyway, but that doesn't make your comment any less jaw-dropping stupid.
Anyway, remedial ed classes are over for you today. Just a reminder though... Your book report on Green Eggs and Ham is due by Monday. No excuses this time.
Cal's signature win was a moral victory loss to USC. And you got your ass worked in California by a team from Lubbock that Texas beat by 30 in Lubbock.
Texas had the tougher schedule. cal beat no teams with more than 7 wins.
