Murray taking the first set is a huge surprise to me - playing really well so far
Federer really struggling in the longer rallies now.
Hey Trojans, LSU's 74 are better than your 75.
JESUS FING CHRIST RODGER!
its a war today , again alot closer than i thought it would be
this is outstanding tennis. I can't remember being so captivated by tennis.
Horrible set to lose for Murray, he completely dominated it and was 30-0 up on his own serve.
yeah he should have never lost that one
Don't you have to win by two sets in a row to win a match? How do matches end in two sets sometimes and how do they last 7-8 sets other times.
You don't have to win by two sets in a row. You have to win the best out of 5 in a Grand Slam. Also, there are no tiebreaks in the 5th set.
Murray looks to have lost it mentally, can't say i'm surprised. His second serve has been laughable recently also.

He is very much in the match. Coming up with big serves when he needs them. Whoever said it would be easy the other day didn't know what they were talking about. I'm a Fed guy, but Murray is hungry
It's not so much the Murray has lost it mentally as much as it is that Fed has picked it up. Fed is great with the roof closed and Murray is going to become frustrated due to the fact he is not in Fed's league. I suspect he will fade once Fed takes control.
That break right there was huge. Fed would not give that game up, fantastic play both ways, just clutch tennis by both guys.
I wouldn't say that Murray isn't in Federer's league, other than the Djokovic match Federer has been poor in this tournament up to the final.
To say a lot of these guys aren't in each others league is dumb. Any of these guys can win on any given day.

He also looked great against Youzhny in the quarters.
fair enough, I didn't see that match.
Murray needs to get better shoes, he has no traction running forward, I feel like i'm watching Nascar and one of the drivers is spinning his wheels.
If both players at their best, Murray is not in Fed's league. Federer looks like the Fed of 2008 right now. He is great with the roof closed. Murray can't beat him when he is playing at this level. It's just a fact. As I said, this isn't a case of Murray losing it mentally, Federer is playing that well and Murray can't beat him when he plays like this.
The problem is, Fed struggles to play at that top level for entire matches nowadays. So, maybe if Fed could continue at his best for 5 sets every day, Murray couldn't hang, but he's not 25 anymore. Federer at his peak was well above Murray, but now the gap is much smaller.
Murray looking smooth early in the fourth.
Sure, the gap is a little closer. I still think Federer is a ver young 30 years of age. The guy still moves well and has arguably the best forehand in the game. I think he picks his spots to turn it on these days to try and save his legs some. That's why he doesn't always look as dominant IMO.
No other top 5 player i have ever seen acts like Murray when everything isn't going his way, he acts like a child and makes it impossible for anyone to like him or respect him.
This ones over IMO, can't see Murray ever winning a grand slam, just too mentally frail.
I agree. He needs the Big 3 to fall to others to have a shot, or only have to play one of them, before the finals, and get a big win.
That might be it
