Weedline gets the recruiting edge
I have the edge in looks, wits, overall knowledge of life, etc. (You get the point)
Only lost once in ATL under Saban.
Undefeated when I attend neutral site games so pony up some cash so I can go to more
Anyone that attended Bama after they started closing the bars at 2am is lacking in overall knowledge of life, IMO.
yep. i was at that luncheon.
he said it was a little of both, though. as mentioned im my other post, it's good pub and a local presence for recruiting, but the bowl-like atmosphere is invaluable for current team.
Gallette's until 5 AM...those were the days.

This may sound stupid but regardless of the outcome I think it's a huge win so to speak for Wisconsin football. The exposure they will get from the game will be great. To be playing in a game like this when 25 years ago no one even knew UW had a team , is pretty incredible IMO. It's a long ways off and a lot could change but probably no one will give UW a chance in the game, so I don't see a downside to playing.
Gallette's? What were you? 12?
Sometimes Gallettes, but usually the Booth for me and then to the patio at Pounders for sunrise.
Aahhhhhhhhhh......summers in TTown!
They changed it after my first year citing I was the reason
As a Bama fan and grad that went to Wisky for grad school, I am excited about it honestly.
Galletes used to be cool
Losing alot of business right now cause downtown is making a comeback.
They've been trying to do reverse cover and giving away TVs just to get people in and it's still not working
And Rounders has a million dollar renovation that they are about to introduce
See....lacking in knowledge of life.
Pounders. Good lord I can't believe someone else is old enough to remember when it was called that. It was Pounders my first few years then it changed to The Library a year or two before I left. The Booth closed and Cheap Shots was the bar we went to a lot. Mako's on a Thursday night with 5 people there. lol God I miss Tuscaloosa

"Because Bama now sucks just like FSU used to suck when we were getting dominated by OU. Does it make sense now?"- Sliger (FSU Fan)
Rounders? WTF is that? I wish they would just leave the same name on the dang bars. Gets confusing.
Got the first 45 seconds of a BJ in one of the booths at Gallette's before getting kicked out.
Is Sam still there?
I moved back to TTown when I came back to Alabama and lived there for a couple of years. It was sad to see the Booth was no longer there and moved downtown.
I would have given anything to have been at the Booth when they demo'd it and seen all the corner baggies behind the wall in the office.
Be honest. It was all 45 seconds
No idea. Stopped going to Galletes when I turned 21.
I only go to bars where I know the bartenders now so Innisfree, Grey Lady, Houndstooth, Coppertop, Bo's and Red Shed
You gotta remember BJs seem to last forever because they feel so good so in reality it was 10 seconds
Put a lot up my nose that night I am sure. Had at least 2 minutes in me!
Funniest part was the chick that got us kicked out moved in downstairs from me about 2 months later.
Ya, when I first got to Bama, some people asked me to go out and then hit a party afterwards. So I make sure my fake ID is sufficiently dirty as to be hard to read and then get my shower and all that stuff. 4 hours later, I'm thinking I've been punk'd. I doze off watching rabbit ear TV since Comcast takes about 2 years to get out to set you up. About midnight they're banging on my door ready to roll. Hit the Tusk, Booth, and then a house party. I remember trying to go to sleep with sun in my eyes wondering if classes start at 6pm.
There was a lengthy time when there was no Booth anywhere.
Yeah I discovered this when I was in town awhile back. They literally can't pay people to go there. Moe's is killing it these days.
Ha. They were still open late until my sophomore year then they changed it. Thank god they passed the open until 3 AM on Friday rule but it's still nowhere near what it was. I wish the old Booth was still open. The new one is small as shlt and it sucks.
Does anyone know what they are going to do to Rounders?
Have you seen the new expansion?
Add a rooftop and they totally redid the front area. Gamedays will have 3 bands.
One in the front, back and roof.
Got a tour of it the other week and it looks pretty legit. They're gonna need to change their clientele if they want to take full advantage of it though
