give me 10 min
alright some of the rules we came up with are edited into the original post. If you have and issue with one or would like to possibly add/change a rule let me,crimsontideguy or jeff4usc know. If you dont say anything then well just assume your ok with it. but we would really like for everyone to give some type of input on it tho
What do you mean by simulation play? You only play offense and no defense? Kin
Of like road to glory?
Dawgs on Top!
No - sim style means play the game like the cpu would play it. That's why we are enforcing rules about when you can go for it on 4th down and why you can't run the same play over and over and over. No going for a 2 pt conversion without the game calling for it, kicking an onside kick every kickoff, etc.
Just follow the rules and you should be fine.
what boxy said. its pretty much just. play like the cpu does. cpu. always punts or kicks on fourth don't go for 2 point unless you have to .just stuff like that
While we're on the topic of what is and isn't sim style, I have two questions, 'cause these are things I normally do in games and I don't really consider them cheating or anything, but I thought I'd ask:
1. I do a lot of run plays out of the goal line formation, regardless of where I am on the field. Just some plays I prefer there.
2. I like to call a lot of audibles, especially editing routes on the fly. But by a lot, I mean literally every play, which I know isn't truly realistic for college ball.
The goal line thing is eh i know alot of ppl dont like that but i also know people who dont care so i guess we would have to discuss that and see what everybody thinks about it next time everyone gets on xbl
i dont think the audibles and hot routes is a problem. as long as you dont audible to the exact same play 3 or 4 times in a row i dont see an issue. Hot route all you want no rule against it

since we have all chosen our teams you can click on this link below click create school then click roster then click on the roster template select your team you picked and you can take a look at the roster you will have in the dynasty. Keep in mind theres no changing teams now that we have all picked.

Getting closer and closer to the release date.
Overall I think I can do decent with TCU. I have a solid QB and WR and a solid trio of RBs but they're all upperclassmen. However my defense is going to get abused by some of you guys. I need to recruit well in year 1.
Recruiting is the beauty of the game. I'm pretty dang stoked.
I know I'm stoked. ima play the shit out of it the first day
Yea, I'm going to midnight release. I'm going to be practicing pretty hard.
Yea, I'm hoping I can just pick up Texas' scraps. If I can I'll be good.
I think you should be able to recruit pretty well....especially if you win some games.
I. looked at your offense and its good. so with that you can recruit defense more heavily. by looking at some of the rosters. it looks like they downed the lb speed a little or it seemed that way
I've been thinking about the rosters etc. I think we all need to download them from one persons locker. If you guys want I will get them when they are complete and everyone can download from me. This way everyone will have the exact same rosters.
Yea winning games is the best way to a recruits heart.
Yea I think my offense can carry me against the CPU at least. And hopefully I can get into some shoot-outs with other users.
I'll definitely recruit defense heavily but I'm going to need some skill players as well as upgrade my O-line.
I didn't notice LB speed except for they gave Bama's Mosely like a 91, which is super fast for a video game linebacker.
oh hey jeff. when we start it up I think we should give. everyone a week or two before a player game. that way they can get accustomed to everything. as far as getting used to your team and getting recruiting set up
What did you think of my way of setting up user games where the highest ranked team plays the lowest ranked team (or unranked), the second highest ranked team plays the 2nd lowest ranked team and so forth.
I know it might be hard to set it up exactly that way cause of when certain conference games are locked in, but it's worth a try.
We may try that but I think to start with I'm going to stick with just fitting in what I can.
Alright. Just trying to think of ways to keep it fair for everyone. I know it wouldn't be easy with 12 teams.
So how long are we looking at waiting after the game comes out at starting this thing?

The game comes out on tuesday. I just say start it up on the upcoming week. That should be enough time. Also, jeff my internet connection at home sometimes is pretty spotty. If theres any way to push my user games toward the end of the season that would simplify things a lot. Once i go back to school it will be better. I understand it may be tougher. I also have one rule question about sim-style. Is there any restrictions on no-huddle offense? I figure not since its prevalent in real life but just wanted to check. Are we able to use custom playbooks in the dynasty?
