I watched it tonight and thought it was pretty good. I never realized the CIA was so heavily involved...obviously I knew they were, just not that much. All the intel and the process of finding him was pretty cool though. Good movie but I would have liked to have seen more combat than just the ending. Thoughts?
Thought it was great. Chick is a badass
I Ain't got no Worries - Lebron James
Best movie of the year in my opinion
lmao at people still thinking this is " how it happened in real life "
God damn people are so stupid its not even funny
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
This is a movie through and through. Has absolutely zero relation to what actually happened.
Oath Before Orders
There is no need, if you think otherwise you are a moron plain and simple
You just said people are morons if they don't believe you, then refused to explain why. I'd say there's a need.
if you really think that the CIA and Navy SEALS are gonna release top secret information that could effect the War on Terror and lives on the ground you are foolish
Especially for the realism of some hollywood movie
Everything you read about this movie being factual or close to the truth is bullshit plain and simple, and there is a better chance of the Navy SEALS not even being involved in the killing of OBL then this movie being a legit telling of said story
The only movie that ever came close to being the truth involving US special forces and their actual missions was Black Hawk Down, and that is because the military had to release so many true facts about that mission due to its failure that making a movie on it was easier than it usually is
I haven't seen the movie or read about it. It's just logical to conclude that if you're declaring everyone who believes any facet of it is true is dumb, then you know specific inaccuracies. Can you share any of this private knowledge with us?
I don't know what happened in real life, so how could I compare it to what actually happened ?
I just know the military doesn't release this kind of information so that soldiers can be glorified on a hollywood big screen
This is why I didn't feel the need to explain, cause if you don't understand this much then you are retarded
the actual raid at the end had alot of similarities with what the jackass who released the book "No Easy Day" said happened. he also released the book before the pentagon had a chance to review it. i think a good portion of the movie is true. they found out the name abu ahmed from a prisoner they interrogated for 48+ straight hours. the stuff at the beginning of the movie is actually alot of the stuff they did to that detainee. they did find the compound in august 2010 and they didnt raid it until may 2011. so basically the military didnt release this information, well at least the information about the raid
I think alot of people are forgetting that its not a factual story. It takes parts of what really happened and the rest is conjecture
There was an analyst at the CIA similar to the girl. Torture took place, etc. but no one really knows the whole truth of how they found him.
Key words " a lot of similarities "
I wasn't crazy about the movie but didn't think it sucked either, I just don't believe much of what has come out about this raid
And celebrating his killing is ridiculous to me and always will be, it took the US a very long time to find him and beating our chest over it seems really stupid when his organization grows stronger daily and is killing americans almost as fast

While its a story I have had a few guys at the bar in VB tell me it could happen that way. Not that it did...that the end scene was good too
I don't know anyone that is beating their chest, more like relief. I also think we sound very American saying it took us so long to find him, as in we are soooo great that no one can hide from us and we get what we want, always.
Its not even about that, but yes we should have found him sooner but Im also under the impression he wasn't as valued a target as we wanted the public to think
And you not knowing anyone is different than the american public and how they view some movie about it, you talk like military and if so then we obviously share the idea that this isn't something to celebrate
Congress is holding a congressional inquiry about Zero Dark Thirty. They say the cia gave them to much access. So if congress is up in arms about the movie , wouldn't at least half the movie be pretty dang accurate?
I enjoyed the movie; thing is though, even if the CIA gave them too much access, they would only give them access to what they wanted released.
Good movie, watch with grain of salt
i doubt any of that is true
Lol....I think Congress has more important things to worry about.
Are you joking or being serious?
Sounds like some bullshit rumor that the movie company put out there to justify its realism
I don't buy that for a second
I would hope it is just a rumor because they really do have more important things to worry about.
I wish I was kidding.
Zero Dark Thirty, the subject of this weeks TIME cover story, has garnered multiple Oscar nominations, but the movie also has an unprecedented distinction: it is now the subject of a congressional inquiry.
Good grief that is sad
For once I agree with you.
Also, this movie made obama look very bad for waiting so long.
