Stars are given out on projected talent. Lawson has a lot of it, IMO. Whether he performed in that game or not doesn't really matter.
Kid may just need the right coach to get the best out of him every play. Should be a good one, IMO.
But he has seen him 5 times, so he's informed enough to make a well educated projection.

TURDS ALL UP IN THIS MUG. /// "2010 Auburn Tigers, my favorite team. Unbeaten in all ways." -- Dan Wetzel, April 4, 2013, 6:29 p.m.
And this is why everyone makes fun of the state of Alabama.
Oo oooo I do I do!
stunning coming from you.
please stop that its pathetic besides the IB was months ago .
let me see if i understand the issue at hand.
Bama fans (and others) are saying that an Auburn commit is overrated.
Auburn fans are up in arms over such a claim but annually claim that all of the services are bias toward Bama commits thus ranking Bama ahead of Auburn virtually each & every year but that this particular prospect ranking is dead on accurate ?
here is how i see it ....
the Aubz have 10 total commits for 2013, 2 of the top 150 prospects (# 18 and 31)
while Bama has 13 total commits for 13' :
2 of the top 10 (likely to get a 3rd)
3 of top 30
8 of top 100
10 of their 13 are among the top 247 .
it all sounds about right to me .

Maybe some other posters are saying Bama recruits get a bias bump, but I am not one of them. Bama recruits the hell out of the best recruits every year, and they get many of them. They have won 2 natties the past 3 years, so such things tend to happen.
However, Lawson is one of a few who has had a recent bump to 5* status, and is of course an Auburn commit. Not hours after the 5th star was awarded to Lawson, a Bama poster starts a thread stating, with the apparent disclaimer "this is not a flame" riddled throughout this post, that he thinks Lawson is overrated. In terms of his repeated attempts at making sure we all know he is "not flaming" on Lawson, he then proceeds to tell us about his experience watching one or two games where Lawson did not perform very well. "The lady doth protest too much," and this is of course a poorly veiled attempt to flame Lawson.
The point is that I have never started, nor ever seen, an Auburn poster reciprocate this treatment to an Alabama recruit receiving a 5* and/or being overrated. Simple fact is that we don't really feel it necessary to bad mouth or downgrade (thanks Gundy) another teams recruits a full year before they are even on campus. Its juvenile behavior that I hope the good Bama posters on here, including yourself Crimson Ghost, can clean up on your board so it doesn't spill to tBB.
Started at the bottom, now we here.....better get used to it.
