What an outstanding crop of QB's in this class, with still more guys to emerge.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Agree. Bridgewater is my favorite. Never expected this outta him. Urb recruited him as a WR. Had no idea he could wing it like that. Throws a smooth, accurate ball.
Should be a fun couple of years for those teams.
Our quarterback does front flips, suck it.
What's interesting is that they're all dual threat guys. I guess that makes sense because it's easier for dual threat qbs to hit the scene early since they can make a lot of plays with their legs. But I think all of them have shown a lot of progress with their throwing capabilities, especially Manziel and Bridgewater.
You forgot Phillip Ely.
He's had a few bad games, but I think David Ash is doing well also.
FL guys, how has Jacoby Brissett (sp?) looked since the benching? Is Driskell that much better, I thought Brissett was more ready to play before the season began.
No clue how Brissett has looked. All he's done is hand it off in his garbage minutes. Driskel got the nod, IMO, bc of his mobility. And with the way the line has regressed, I think it was the right call.
It has clearly worked out besides the UGA game. Just wondered if he has done anything remarkable in practice that can perhaps get him on the field.
All our practices are closed. But reports from "insiders" say he feels as though he still has a shot of winning the job and will give it til the end of spring.
Kevin Hogan, another 2011 QB is now the starter at Stanford.
Bridgewater defines how bad it got under Shannon
That kid was a lock to Miami, they blew that one
I remember a lot of their fans thinking he would be just another Jacory
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
2011 really was an excellent class overall. You look at the Top247 from that cycle and plenty of these guys are All-Conference or even All-American types and many will play on Sunday.

Max Wittek to start against Notre Dame.
The class of 2011 QB's is a strong theme for this season. Pretty sure it is destiny for Wittek to lead USC to a win over #1 ranked Notre Dame in his first start.
Brissett has an opportunity to make Driskell the guy who's looking around if he can play well in Doak this Saturday.
I have a tough time believing that Driscoll isnt going to be the starter from here on out as soon as he gets healthy. I mean, he has this team in a pretty good position so far. Any idea where Brisette would possibly transfer or wether it would be to a big school or FCS?
Aint no ice up in this brandy i just like to gomp it down, aint no running from the Cajun Mafia I most likely gun you down
Brissett would be a candidate to transfer to kansas for sure since he changed all his plans in recruiting to go to UF for Charlies Weis.
Should get a NY invite IMO.
This. Future Joe Montana imo.
half of all the starting QB's in BCS games this season are from this class.
Nasty class, next year should be amazing. Hopefully some of these qbs will match up in bowl games next year.
Lol, hope you're being sarcastic
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Really terrific group of college QB's for sure.
Not necessarily highly drafted NFL guys (Driskel has that ability IMO), but so many fit the college game really well.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
Teddy B, too. IMO
Not sure I see highly drafted, but time will tell. I guess highly drafted being 1st round type of QB talent NFL teams are drafting.
