The problem with that article is it doesn't explore why Obama isn't at those briefings. Somehow I doubt it's because he's golfing or something. I'd be willing to bet that he has other presidential duties that often cut into the time he would normally be at these briefings.
The reason I cited vacation statistics is because those are an actual measure of when the President isn't doing anything related to his presidential duties.
I have lived in MS my entire life and I'm likely more open minded on controversial subjects than anyone in this state. I just wish more Yankees were the same.
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
Yeah, if I can find the research results, I'll drag them up, but I was involved in a death penalty litigation clinic a while back that explored this issue. The research I did for that pretty much solidified my opinion that reducing access to guns cuts down on passion killings.
Credit to you for managing to remain open-minded in MS. I live in a red state now, and based on my experience with many of the locals, that's not an easy thing to do.
Jon Stewart exposes how hamstrung the ATF is and how gun laws are really enforced.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
My wife's father (from alabama) and I get along great and I think the absolute world of the man, but it's only because we rarely discuss tough issues. When we do he never gets upset or judges me like many would, but on the same page we are not haha.
Watch the video. He quotes actual laws. If not, you can watch the official ATF channel on you tube. They'll let you know that it's nearly impossible to enforce gun laws because tthe NRA basically wrote the laws. Watch the video.
He's more credible than whatever dipshit politician you get your info from.
Edit: if you can find anything that he says that's not factually accurate and you can post proof I'll eat crow....but you can't because he doesn't spew nonsense.

Fair enough. But In the world we live in today , post 9/11 and with the US at war I just find it hard to believe there are a whole lot more things that would trump a security briefing 55% of the time. I don't know his daily schedule but those seem like an important thing to be at.
I'm very open minded. I'm about as right as you an be and my wife is about as left as you can be. We get along great and sometimes we have arguments from the other person's perspective just for fun and it's hilarious where it can lead...
Woah. You actually support Ted Cruz?
Well, he's missed half of them and the world hasn't ended, so clearly they're not exactly essential to the survival of the free world.
The same Ted Cruz who, despite never having served in the military himself, accused a decorated war vet of "less-than-vigorous defense of U.S. national security issues"?
The idiot tried to bring guns into a judiciary committee hearing.
I can't go there with him....not before he finished my new back porch/deck that is.

Ummm...wow. You seriously approve of someone bringing firearms into a committee hearing?
He will take the side of the far right wing no matter what they do. Doesn't matter.
I take it you're a big Wyatt Earp fan.
True not yet. But that won't be his fault anyway even if it did. Although without Hillary he will need a new "fall guy"
