You're still just avoiding the question. If Obama is as all-powerful as you claim, why hasn't he already done all of the things that you claim he wants to do? If he wants to take away the second amendment, why bother doing it slowly? If Obama's as bad as you seem to think, then why do we even still have any rights at all?
What about Chicago? McDonald v. Chicago shot that ban down.
I agree, though I don't have strong feelings either way about the assault rifles.
So all you gun lovers think personal nuclear weapons should be legal too?
Rocket launchers ? Flame throwers? Personal ownership of Patriot missiles? Should bill gates be allowed to own a nuclear submarine for his own personal well regulated militia?
What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
So, basically, you don't have the answer to that question because you're just ignorantly talking out of your rear end.
Good that we finally have that out in the open.
Whether or not that's true isn't the issue, since that statement isn't an answer to my question.
If Obama is as all-powerful as you say, why hasn't he done all the things Republicans (and you) accuse him of wanting to do?
Now you're just trolling
Why? What motivation could he possibly have to do these things slowly?
Aaaaand we've reached the inevitable Hitler comparison.
You're like a caricature. I actually couldn't script a more perfect simpleton. The combination of delusion, rabid dogmatism, and plain stupidity is just priceless.
Don't you think personal nuclear weapons would be helpful against government tyranny?
Please, elaborate on this: why is Obama similar to Hitler?
Because he is apparently banning all guns and taking all of our rights away. Soon there will be a tyranny where we must face his wrath.
I actually hope we reach a day he tries that.... it wont end well
Totally man. We are such bad asses that we can get our gunz and fight off anyone who's at our doorstep. Obama is planning something... something real big. We gotta get ready for a revolution.
There will be one if he tries it.
Times are gonna get tough and I cant wait to see what you libs think then
More important is a little different than "better".
Personally, I rather enjoy my days sans civil war, so all y'all need to pipe the eff down, mmmkay?
I am a conservative from Chicago as this thread embarrasses me.

... a school bus driver was shot and killed Tuesday in an attempt to kidnap a 6-year-old boy. I guess some lives are less valuable than others when it comes to protection. Damn, I feel safer already.
In a recent interview, James Taylor told the Daily Caller “I think the nation is very divided on gun control, but I think the majority of us feel strongly — even the majority of gun owners feel strongly — that we need to make some sacrifice[s] to our freedoms, if that’s the way to put it. We need to make some sacrifices to what we might want to have, in order to safeguard our children."
Taylor, like everyone else in America, is entitled to his opinion. Personally, I have no desire or compulsion to give up or modify any of my constitutional rights in an effort to mollify Taylor or those who agree with his opinion.
That I own a 30 round magazine has no effect in general on the safety of children .. other than my own in so far as a person breaking in to my home or attacking my family will have 30 holes in him rather than one.
My comment is only intended to reinforce my position that if someone should break in to my home (not that anyone ever has) I would not hesitate to use the maximum available delivery system to curtail their activities.
You left out some of the really important stuff he is responsible for. Improving his golf game and playing lots of basketball. He seems to take those two things very seriously
I do not own guns. I am not opposed to people having guns if you want them. To,each their own. I am smart enough to realize though that No matter what guns they ban, if criminals or whack jobs want to get guns they will get guns. If anyone really thinks that banning certain guns will decrease the mass shootings they are crazy.
But I also disagree with the argument that if someone who is crazy wants to kill a,bunch of people and didn't have a gun they would find a way to do it. My opinion on that will change the first time I read, about the crazy person who went into a,theater and beat 20 people to,death with a baseball bat.
Helicopter pig hunting, it's the funnest thing in the world
Obama could deliver the entire USC cheerleading squad to your house in a solid gold Ferrari and you'd still find imaginary fault with it. It's really pretty sad that you can't acknowledge how much the President does and what the job entails, because I can say with 100% certainty that you wouldn't be able to do the job.
That's all he does? Are you serious? Are you really going to stand here and say he doesn't have any actual responsibility, and he doesn't actually do any work?
A common tactic by the right is whenever gun control talk comes up is to use the 'Slippery Slope' fallacy that if you ever try to limit their access to guns, inevitably all guns will be banned.
They can't accept that just because you limit something doesn't mean you want it to go away entirely.
Personally, having been shot by an assault rifle IN a shooting, I don't think anyone but the military needs them. Also, we can do away with rounds designed to go through bullet resistent vests and high capacity magazines.
We also need to make it so that gun shows are restricted as well, so that anyone who enters to buy a gun has a license and that they all have background checks run on them.
Finally, a gun buyback program by the government would be a great idea to reduce the overall number of guns out there. That way people who don't want them can get rid of them, reducing the availability of guns to be used for these kinds of shootings. You can't tell me the fact that there are something like 90 guns for every 100 Americans isn't linked to the fact we have some of the highest homicide rates in the world, whereas countries with only 10 guns for every 100 people tend to have the lowest.
