Did you miss the part where he WANTED to wait and his mom made him sign on signing day?
Again he DIDNT have to sign... wanting to and actually doing it is different...
Why do people assume that MT6 will be in the locker room, not releasing him doesnt mean he shows up.
If he shows up then that will have to be a situation that will be handled then.
We didn't force him to sign. Also he is the one who offered ESPN to headline their live announcements. For wanting his 5 minutes of fan he put himself into this situation.
Your a f*cking dolt. Jimbo didn't force him, doubt Jimbo even knew on NSD. After NSD he gave a interview saying that while he would have signed with USC he was happy with his choice and quote "The next time I put on shoulder pads, it will be at Florida State. I just can't wait to be a Seminole and get my career started there. It is going to be fun."
If this had happened on NSD or earlier it would have been 100x better and he might have gotten a release. But the thing is he didn't change his mind until he went to the spring game and saw how loaded we were at LB. By then both Cornelius Elder and Jordan Cunningham had signed with schools, missing on kids on NSD would have let us sign them because they were our back up plans like D. Bryant.
The only idiot in this situation is MT6. He is the one who couldn't say no to his mother. He is the one who dragged this into the media. (it only hurt him, it was a non story that makes it hard for him to stay and FSU and we aren't giving him a release anyways) He is the one who waited 3 months for this. If he had the balls he should have done all of his growing a back bone on NSD, it would have been 100x better for all parties if this had played out like the Alex Collins fiasco.
i personally dont care if he goes to fsu or not. i disagree with him being a cancer to the locker room. a true freshmen will not have enough pull in the locker room for that. i think the upper classmen on the team would put him in his place.
So are you going take me up on the ban bet?
I was working off memory with the NLI penalty so apologies. Had a mix up on how he goes from 5 to play 4 to having 3 years. But even then it is a roster management issue. If he loses his shirt and has to sit out next year do you think he is going to be able to pay his way to USC? Does he manage to get into FBS football shape on his own? Does USC hold a LB spot of their roster for a kid who probably won't be a heavy contributor until 2015 at the earliest? If he really doesn't want to go to FSU the best bet for the kid is go JuCo. NCAA says he would only have to do 1 semester, have 12 credits and a 2.0 to transfer from a Juco to a major university. I would think the P12 and USC would have additional rules, but at least he could lift and play ball while he got his stuff together.
Barring going JuCo I don't see how he ends up at FSU. NLI prevents other schools from recruiting you so going prep without a release doesn't get you back on the market. And if he goes to FSU and then asks for his release I am sure FSU would bar him from transferring to USC. And the time at JuCo could be well spent for him if he really doesn't want to be a Nole. A year or two would allow him to get a sense of if Kiffen will even be coaching at USC by the time he plays there.
Would you be willing to accept payment in food stamps if he isn't a bet welcher?
what is the purpose of this bump? how many threads are the same posters going to argue about the same topic?
