Doing a mixed 12 of darkhorse ipa right now. The Falconers Flight and cascade ones have been alright citra coming up next.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
The new Belgo Hoptologist from Knee Deep. Really interesting flavor. Tastes like a super hoppy red almost. Similar to Red Trolley but sweeter. Overall, I wouldn't buy again.
Played golf today and had 6 miller lites.
Having a founders double trouble now. Much preferred over the triple hopped brew
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.
Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree IPA
Bought a 4 pack last night and split with some friends. None of us were impressed.
I've still never had an IPA over 11% that I liked. Everything seems to compromise its flavor after that point. I'm shocked that beer got a 93 on BA. not even close.
At least it got me drunk
I would have said 10%, but Sierra Nevadas Hoptimum is 10.4 and is great.

Have you had Simtra at 11.25?
I really enjoyed it.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
This Big Bad Baptist was awesome. Highly recommend if you ever see it around.
That's a ggod one, but I have to agree that it's very difficult to find an IPA over 11% that's any good. Simtra seems to be the exception not the rule. Stouts on the other hand - I've had plenty with 11%+ ABV and the profile seems to mask the alcohol flavor much better.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
No, is it something I should seek out?
Yes simcoe and Citra were meant for each other. Just had Founders Doom and it was phenomenal.
Went to Voodoo's Barrel Room Collection release yesterday and came home with Buffalo Trace aged Black Magick, Pappy Van Winkle Black Magick and Pappy Van Winkle Big Black Voodoo Daddy. Also tried their 2 Live Gran Cru aged in Pappy and it was a revelation.
Stoked I'm getting that one from you and I think mjw is gonna send me one too.
That is a damn fine haul.
Definitely. Only Triple IPA I've had that I know of. Big flavor, big alcohol.
I'm excited about it....also got some KBS via a raffle yesterday but that's being sent out west.
Its great man
Hoptimum and Hop Stoopid tonight.
Been drinking Ranger IPA. Pretty damn good beer. Don't know why it has such a low BA score. Very citrusy and not too heavy on the alcohol at 6.5%. It was on sale for $15.99 at the grocery store so I consider it a score.
A few UVs for the beer thread
Waiting for Hoptimum to hit my bottle shop. It's been spotted in IL so I know ill have it soon. The first true DIPA I ever had last year.
It's scary how much great beer Ive had in the last year.
15.99 for how many bottles?
We already have it in Oklahoma. Surprised Oklahoma got anything before anywhere else.
12. It's usually about $10 per 6er.
